    Dedication

This book is dedicated to God the Father, Son (Jesus Christ) and Holy Spirit, who delivered me from years of bondage and granted me the permission and grace to write this book. Thank you Lord for Your never ending mercy and for not giving up on me, I am eternally grateful. Your praise will always be on my lips.

    Acknowledgement

I want to thank my spiritual father and mentor, Pastor Emmanuel Adewusi, who God used to break me free from the spirit of sexual immorality and to hold me accountable in many areas where I needed to grow spiritually. Blessed be the day that God brought you into my life. May the Lord continue to increase and lift you higher and higher in Jesus name.

I also extend my gratitude and appreciation to Tumi and Ebenezer Agboola who helped edit and review this book, and continually held me accountable to ensure that I reached the finish line. God bless you both richly in Jesus name.

    Foreward

Even though Bible tells us that when a man is in Christ Jesus, old things have passed away and all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17), it is sometimes necessary to review the old things for our learning. One of the marks of a genuine follower of Christ is their ability to share the aspects of their lives that others are quick to hide, to enable other learn vital lessons. I laud Precious Ogundu for boldly sharing the dark times in his walk with God with the world.

In this book, Precious did not hold back in sharing the story behind the glory; the pain before the gain; and the price he has paid for the rise he is experiencing and yet to come. Like me, Precious have gone from light into darkness and back into light. Books like this one are important to encourage those who genuinely love God but yet are entangled in sin not to give up. As I write this forward, I am reminded of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15:11-32.

The Prodigal Son came from a loving and caring home. Even though no reference was made to his mother, we know that his father was prosperous, emotionally intelligent, a man of faith, forgiving and loving. Nonetheless, the Prodigal Son decided to request his share of his father’s wealth for riotous living. The crux of the story is that even though the boy fell from grace to grass, and from glory to shame, he knew he could go back home even if it meant becoming a slave. When the prodigal son went back home, he was received by his father with open arms.

While advantageous in many respects, the proliferation of media have given many voices with a minimal or even incorrect idea of the gospel a platform to spread lies or half truths. The truth is that our Heavenly Father sent Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son (at that time), to die for our sins so that we may enjoy eternal life. You do not need to live in squalor. Jesus died so that you may have life and have it more abundantly rather than live in shame and rejection. The church might have even pushed you further away because of their misrepresentation of God’s judgement. Remember that Jesus Christ, not a pastor or church member, is the author and finisher of your faith. I pray that this book will serve as a roadmap for all prodigal sons and daughters to come back home into the loving arms of their Heavenly Father. I pray that this book will be a tool in the hands of the church so we do not act like the prodigal son’s older brother. I pray that this book will trigger a mass exodus of God’s children back to the body of Christ. Your Heavenly Father is waiting
