Bon Espionage, Love - Altel Chagla

    CHAPTER 01

Passing the gloomy mountain forests, the rusty red train traveled a long way to the next station. The passengers of this train were members of various nationalities. The atmosphere in one of the wagons was quite uptight. A group, consisting of a Japanese, an Indian, a German, and two Italians sat behind the same table. A train worker approached them.

    Mission accomplished. My congrats.

The train worker immediately left and now there’s only the said group left in the whole wagon. The Japanese took a relieved breath and quickly changed both posture and sitting position to a relaxed one. The Indian stood up and took the cloth away from the dining table revealing the beloved dishes of Turkic cuisines.

Here we are! said the Indian but in Turkic. All missed the taste of our cuisine?

Are you kidding?! said one of the Italians in Turkic, Dolma was invading my dreams for months!

Good job everybody! said the German in Turkic again. The other Italian took the bottle, Let ayran pour like a waterfall! said in a Turkic language as well. But this conversation took place several decades ago.

Every period had its own problems. Yet, for people who are brave enough, the problems were some quizzes you just needed to solve, preferably on time.

    CHAPTER 02

A re you alright, Boss ?

The damn dress! It’s too tight.

A quartet of armed people ran through the dim corridors which were situated in a closed cooperative building. If not the serious faces of theirs, the way the woman who got called Boss ran was a bar of comedy gold. One of the women in the suit got under her arm to help her run evenly and faster while keeping an eye on the way holding a gun ready. Another woman and a man were checking behind.

Nobody. It looks like we are off.

The woman in the tight dress halted. She attempted to rip the dress with bare hands. While the woman in the suit checked the rooms.

    Clear!

    The women hurried in.

The suited woman lay on the floor trying to rip the skirt while holding her own legs in the air while the other woman held onto them.

Are you wrestling, Esen? said the woman standing at the door to watch the corridor.

Wrestling is our ancestral sport, after all, Tulpar, said Esen, who keeps trying her best.

Hah-ah! Hah! said the Boss Lady.

Here, use my knife! said Tulpar.

The dress is too tight- I’m afraid to hurt-

Just do it! Or leave me behind.

We will act as if we didn't hear it, said Tulpar.

They finally ripped the skirt and handed Esen’s coat to the woman to wrap up; she had to hold on to it as it kept falling. There was no time left, so they had to go as they were.

    They reached the rooftop.

    Now what? said the guy.

Let's just wait a bit, said Esen, after checking her watch. An awkward silence increased accompanied by a thrill. Tulpar stomped a foot looking around, Esen checked the watch again while their Boss rubbed her legs as it was quite cold tonight. The pantless guard walked around keeping an eye on the doors.

Rented pilot, pfft! said Esen, When are we finally getting a member responsible for transportation?

The last time they had another incident of that type, as their new tailor mixed the purposes of the dresses. The dress had to sit firmly, for the female Boss to be able to carry the weapons and documents. But it tore at the seams right in front of the mafia boss while the gang was having negotiations with them. The skirt fell revealing a bulk which was just another secret pocket for the Boss Lady’s guns right in front of the other mafia boss’s nose.

This Boss Lady tended to hide guns in several incredible places like inside her hair bun, and under her bra. Additionally, she carried four joint rings - a puncher which hides a knife inside.

    Accidents happen, yet...

Mixing up dresses was not the sole problem, however.

The Boss Lady’s gang now took a visit to their tailor. The tailor kept his cool while playing displeasure by the shown attitude. His eye-soaring stylish atelier was loaded with expensive textiles, trendy decorations, and a strange sharp sculpture if it was one. Is it not a bit dangerous? said Esen once.

This sculpture is the peak of trend! the tailor said. Not surprised. People like you cannot get it.

But this was not the case this time.

Now explain this to me, said Tulpar, exhibiting the inner part of the dress. What the heck you were thinking about, you moron?! said Esen.

What? It's a push-up bra, said the tailor, seriously yet not shying away from his dismissive manner.

We ordered a full coverage life vest!

But it would make her look bulky! And doesn’t suit my design.

You must be kidding! said Esen.

Tulpar grabbed the man’s arm, took a needle out of the pincushion, and pointed it to the tailor’s eye. I’ll pin your needles right into your eyes like pock, pock, pock, one by one!

Leave us for a while, said the Boss Lady, who was sitting on the sofa
