A Massage Parlor Naughty Read

It’s the hottest day of the summer.

The concrete pavement radiates the heat back at me, and my flip-flops barely protect my feet. The people around me mill about in tiny shorts and barely-there tops, a sheen of perspiration covering tanned skin.

My back aches, and I tilt my head from side to side, wincing as I hear the cracks. I’m in such bad shape.

Everybody else went to the beach while I worked my ass off at the office, finishing my latest project. My asshole of a boss hasn’t let me out for weeks, and I have a mountain of overtime piled up. I don’t know if I’ll ever get any pay for those hours, but I’m climbing my way up in the company, slowly but surely, and in the end it should be worth it.

I got a tiny raise a few months back, and a pat on my shoulder. That’s… something, I guess.

I hope it will be worth it,
