    Preface

My dear Black Sistas there’s been something on my mind for many years. I lived through the pain for decades. I wanted to start this conversation many years ago, but there wasn’t an opportunity to do so, until now. Our lives as a nation drastically changed and many are beginning to voice the same feelings and desires as myself.

I believe the earth has stopped long enough for us to catch our breath and to take a look around. God gave us this opportunity and we have to use it wisely. It’s time for us to come together. This letter is about sisterhood, history, and growth. We’re coming to understand why we treat each other the way we do and how to begin the healing process.

    Introduction

This is a clarion call to all Black sistas, a plea for us to come together. It’s time to get to the root of our internal racism and prejudices. It’s time to apply the blood of Jesus to our lives and to walk it out.

We will explore what caused this riff inside of our communities and our families. No more will we listen to outsiders dictate how we should live and how we should treat our own people. After we finish reading this letter, I hope we can see the spell and power of mind control cast over our people for centuries. We need to self-analyze ourselves to see how our past affects our thinking. The symbolic meaning of the year 2020 also means vision. We’ve an incredible eye-opening experience, haven’t we? Some of us woke up and some of us are waking up.

    Matthew 19:23

With God all things are possible.

    Dear Sistas,

Let’s have a conversation. Let’s talk to heal ourselves from old wounds and move forward because God needs our attention. When I call my Black sistas, it means this conversation is for all of us and I want your feedback. We need our feedback to clear the air between us and get back on track.

First, let’s applaud our sistas who are doing good and are not experiencing anything. For the rest of us, we’re going to talk our grievances out.

This is a global clarion call to all sisters of color, especially in America. I’m going to ask serious questions and I expect serious answers. So, can someone tell me, what happened to us? Who infiltrated our love and our community? What spirit did we not rebuke but fed instead? We had one of the most unbreakable bonds, but today we are so easily annoyed with each other. We resort to violence instead of knowledge. It’s time for us to look and see who is actually controlling us and why. The devil never fights his on his own, he only fights when his freedom is threatened. Please read that statement again and again.

    Let it sink in.

It’s time for us to ask where’s the love? Where’s the safety net? Where’s the support? Where’s the respect, and most of all where’s the love for each other?

I want my sistas to understand this is not a finger pointing discussion. It’s an opportunity to self-diagnose our community and to rebuild ourselves consciously and subconsciously starting at home.

Let’s look in the rear-view mirror. We won’t stay there for long, but we need to go and uproot some demons that were strategically placed in our bloodline for almost a millennium.

Our pain started before we crossed the Atlantic Ocean. So much pain we have endured. It’s unbelievable the strength and resilience God has placed in us. He built us to survive. He had no intention for us to be extinct!

Women have been torn from their villages, their husbands, and families. Packed like sardines in cold concrete like buildings. Our sense of self wasn’t shattered but buried deep into our
