    A Wishful Day

    Give us this day

    And many more we pray

    A day when there is no strife

    A day when no one is taking another one’s life

    A day we will all sing

    And glorify the king

    Alone At Last

    You go out to lunch; Alone at last

    You sip on your tea, then you look up and glance

    Your eyes meet together for the very first time

    To quickly look away is your first reaction

    But that gorgeous set of eyes had your attention

    The waiter walks by and slips you a note

    Hoping he could join you is all he would hope

    He comes and join you, smelling so good

    Like you knew he would

    He’s complimenting you of your beautiful smile

    Which is something you haven’t heard in quite awhile

    He softly touches your hand to flatter you even more

    Now you’re wondering what he has in store

    He wants you to join him later on to get to know you much more

    At Last

    Having to wish

    Wanting to not

    Wishing to wish

    Deserving to stop

    Unable to change the past

    A future of blessings fulfilled with lessons

    To teach the present of lessons

    Learned from the past

    Away Too Long

    Seems you’ve been away too long

    Bet you thought I would not have missed you at all
