The Christian Gossip Show: Season 1
()
About this ebook
There are a variety of ways for readers to engage with the text. Each segment can be read as a short story. Another option would be to perform the skits with one or multiple actors, with the help of prop lists and instructions. These skits also serve as a launching pad for Bible study and discussion. Adults and youth alike will appreciate the entertaining and humorous ways these biblical topics are addressed.
No matter where you stand with the Lord, Nancy prays God will use her silly stories, songs, and the scriptures in a way that blesses you and makes you laugh. Among all the “nonsense,” there are pearls of truth from God’s own heart that He wants to share with you.
Nancy Ebersole
Nancy Ebersole came to have a personal relationship with the Lord in her mid-twenties. She has written approximately one hundred gospel songs, some included in this book, based on Bible teachings and her own personal walk with the Lord. More recently, she began writing humorous short stories and skits intended to lift the spirit. Nancy has a heart for sharing the gospel message through Bible studies, as well as in her written words through skits, stories and music. Nancy lives with her husband, Ken in Apopka, Florida. He has been her unwavering assistant in putting this book together. They have two adult sons and a wonderful granddaughter. Many of Nancy’s stories were inspired by experiences with her family members, including her parents, four brothers and a sister.

Bibliography

I want to first and foremost thank our Lord for the gift of humor that allows us to laugh—sometimes to save us from ourselves! Especially, thank you Jesus, for your gift of salvation—my greatest joy—that inspired me to begin writing songs about your grace, the cross, and Heaven beginning in the 1980s.
Back in the day, when I was a Phyllis Diller wannabe, I realized it’s a wonderful thing to be able to make people laugh. Thank you, Phyllis; I learned all my husband-bashing skills from you (as well as my hideous laugh)!
More recently, I have to thank Mark Lowry and Chonda Pierce, my two favorite funny people whose humor truly inspired and motivated me to want to write the skits in this book.
I want to especially thank my husband, Ken, who spent hours at his computer writing and rewriting—and rewriting—the many changes I made to these stories, as well as scoring the music for the songs. Without his wonderful help and endless patience, this would all still be my chicken scratch on countless pieces of paper, napkins, or whatever else I could find to make notes on. Thank you; I love and appreciate you more than you will ever know.
And finally, thank you to all the staff at Westbow Press for making the publishing of this nonsense
possible. From our first conversation on, your help has been invaluable!
Dedicated To…
I’d like to dedicate this book to each and every person who may find himself or herself reading these pages. No matter where you stand with the Lord, I pray God will use these silly stories, the songs, and the scriptures in a way that will bless you. For those close to the Lord, may you get a chuckle from something you read that will boost your spirit. For those who may not feel as close to the Lord as you once did, may something in these pages spark your interest in drawing closer to your Savior once again. And most of all, for anyone who does not know the Lord, I pray that God will plant a seed of hope and assurance in your heart that will sprout and one day lead you to a personal relationship with Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Among all the nonsense,
there are pearls of truth from God’s own heart that He wants to share with you.
This theme song can be used with each episode, or omitted if time does not permit it to be sung with some episodes.
