Someone who views the current system of writing as this scramble for perfection. Instead of enjoying flaws in stories and allowing authors to be themselves people have put such high expectations on everything being the same. when in reality there are no rules for creativity, Shakespear doesn't follow our grammer.. but that doesn't prevent him from being held high. In reality, "flaws" should be celebrated as it allows the author to create a unique basis for their stories. But who am I to say? I'm just an Author for fun.

Geir Goldenheart - Devon Mulvihill
Someone runs down the cobblestone street, their heavy footsteps and their breathing shaky. In their left hand they’re carrying a small pouch filled with glowing crystals, someone in the distance screams and shouts.
The man let a smirk slowly flutter onto his face as he spun the corner, he knew exactly where to go to not be found. As he headed for the thin alleyway mostly blocked by old debris.
Suddenly something gold shot through the air and his eyes widened, trying to slow down but it was too late. Something gold struck the ground near him and glowed a bright blue before- FWOOMF! A massive pillar of ice bursts forth and blocks his path.
Its glistening crystals shine brightly even in the constantly overcast sky, a harsh blast of cold air made the thiefs hair stand on end. He spun around, his eyes wild as he desperately tried searching for another way out.. There had to be, there just had to-
A shape falls down from a nearby roof, they land with poise and slowly stand..
Hey! Stay back!
the thief shouts, holding out his hand.. A small ball of blue energy began to surge in his palm.. Waves of invisible energy pulse from it. It wasn’t hot or cold.. It was a third type, one most people reading this book could never feel.
The figure put their hand into their satchel which was slung over their shoulder and took a confident step forward. The thief took a step back in response, the blue orb growing to the size of his hand, the waring breeze of ether brushed against the approaching figures smooth cheeks.
I said stay back!
he shouted, preparing to unleash the orb of pure energy.
The figure ducked, throwing their arm out and whipping something gold through the air. It hums and sings like a beautiful song bird, the thief tries to react but the golden gear slams into his forehead with a loud CLANG. he stumbles, back now off balance.
The figure dashes forward, closing the gap between them and the thief in a second before slamming a hard palm strike to their chin. The thief’s head snaps back and they cough from the shock, the figure swings their elbow into their ribs and snatches the bag of glowing crystals from the thief’s hands.
Ah! F-fuck
the thief collapses onto the ground and coughs.. His ball of energy vanishes and he curls up, wrapping his arms around his ribs.
Behind them a woman comes rushing around the corner panting, she spots the bag of glowing crystals and waves.
Hey!
she yells, out of breath.
The figure turns around, their eyes are a shining purple and their smile is as beautiful as heaven. They hold up the bag and walk over towards the woman, handing it to them.
Oh my! Thank you so much for dealing with that pesky thief! Wh-who are you?
the woman asked with a big smile and tired eyes.
The figure smiles wide and puts her hands on her hips.
My name is Geir Goldenheart! Hero at your service!
she does a pose and her purple eyes sparkle.
She’s around 5’9 with dark smooth skin and curly dark brown hair wearing a red scarf with some torn beige and silver clothes. She smiles wide, proud of herself.
A.. A hero you say? Well.. that is very impressive! Thank you very much!
the woman smiled and slowly began to make her way back.
Geir waved to the woman and smiled, her smile then began to fall when the same woman walked around the corner.
Her eyes widened and she looked back and forth between the two identical women.. Blonde hair.. Yes.. blue dress.. Yes.. white hair clip.. Yes..
Have you seen my crystals?
the woman asked gently, shaking as she walked up to Geir.
Geir blinked and then pointed to her.. And then to the identical woman who was walking out of sight.
But I just.. I..
Geir paused, her mind slowly breaking down before-
She shot off, rushing down the street and spinning around the corner, dust kicking up from the force.
She spotted the identical woman cackle to herself before her skin sank and shrank away.. Revealing a lizard-like figure with large black eyes, they licked their scaly lips and chuckled.
Hehe, score-
the lizard person said, their voice a low hiss.
Suddenly a golden gear struck them across the forehead and they screeched, jumping high into the air and landing on a nearby building, sticking to the side of the wall.
Give me back the crystals!
Geir shouted, furrowing her brow.
No!
the lizard person hissed before leaping across the road to the opposite home's low roof, dashing across it and out of sight.
Oh no you don’t!
Geir pulled out a glowing golden gear and dropped it by her feet. Upon contact with the ground it erupted into a massive blast of flora, a titanic flower shatters the cobblestone and rises into the air, carrying Geir to a better vantage point.
She narrowed her eyes and threw another gold gear from her satchel, it skimmed across the air like it was a pond. Each skim seemed to ripple out to create a near see through platform, she leapt from one to the other, following and memorising the platform as she spotted the lizard slip into a back alleyway.
The lizard kept chuckling as it ran towards the small hole in the cracking and crumbling wall of a nearby house, their large black eyes shining from the pale sunlight which dragged itself through the overcast skies.
Man I can’t believe they fell for the easiest trick in the book-
before they could even finish their slimy sentence a large lightning bolt struck right in front of them.
Their eyes widened with shock and they leapt back, using their large tail to bounce them into the air.. Right into the path of a fully wound punch.
Geir connected a right hook with a crunch to the lizard person's face, they both fell back down to the crumbling and jagged street below.
Geir managed to latch onto a loose brick to slow her fall while the lizard fellow flipped through the air and landed on their feet.
They tried to dash away but Geir lashed out with her.. Scarf? It wrapped around the lizard figure's neck like a lasso and she ripped it back, sending them off their feet and crashing onto the ground.
She stepped onto his chest and glared down at him.
...Oh..
they said, trying to innocently smile.
Give me back the crystals
she offered her hand.
No!
they shouted back, green saliva spilling from their hiss.
Please?
Geir asked kindly, her purple eyes sparkling.
Hmmmmmmm- No
the lizard person closed their eyes and their body lurched, their tail kicked at the floor and pushed them out from under Geir’s foot as their skin changed.
They turned back into the girl from earlier and spunt to look at her with a smile.
You wouldn’t punch an innocent woman would you-
Geir didn’t let them finish, she just punched them in the face.
They fell onto their back and howled as they clutched their injured nose, she sighed as she snagged the small glowing bag from the clutches.
I would give you to the police... if this place had any.. And all the prisons are crumbling so.. I guess just.. If you wanna not get punched , don't do crime?
Geir shrugged as she stuffed the glowing bag into her satchel before jogging off.
The lizard person was left whining on the floor all curled up.
Geir landed back into the street where the original victim and thief were, she was slapping him quite badly.
How dare you!?
she hissed, he just whined and let it happen.
Ma’am, I have found your money!
Geir said, smiling wide as she handed the pouch back to the actual victim.
Oh thank you!
she stood up and smiled before spinning on her heel and kicking the thief right in the balls. He made a pain filled sound and straight up passed out.
Geir waved to her and sighed, wiping sweat from her brow. She slowly looked up to the towering buildings that surrounded her.. The tall crumbling wall which wrapped around the entire kingdom.. She could feel it.. An unending power.. A sense of dread..
This is Disreeguard.
A kingdom of mystery.
A kingdom stationed in the middle of a desert the size of canada.
A place which had never been known to exist.. Only for it to be found by explorers destroyed and abandoned.
No one knows what happened to the people that used to live here.. No one knows how they could survive in a place where natural water is scarce..
No one knows how it went undiscovered for centuries.
No one knows how the magic here even fully functions, it was thought to be a dead zone.
Because this world is all one massive mega continent called Nevermore. Surrounded by nothing but the ocean, Nevermore is the home of all men, women, lizards, people, hell I bet there’s some dragons around here somewhere.
The land of Nevermore is split into 12 Lands.
They range from the large booming land of Magic, Hexland.
To the stuck in the past land of technology, Relic.
In the centre of it all, in the shape of a diamond in this heart shaped continent.. Is the Dead Land.
A massive stretch of desert, known for its inability to hold life and its confusing magical properties..
The thing which confuses people the most though.. Is that the desert isn’t just sand.. It's ash.
Welcome, Reader, to Nevermore
Welcome to The Dead Land, the great desert.
Welcome, to Disreeguard.
Welcome to Geir’s story.
Just be sure to not worry about the man in blue yet.
Chapter 1:
Who’s Stronger?
A nd then I went BWOOOSHHH and I went POW POW
Geir shouted, smiling wide as she punched at the air.
The.. man? In front of her laughed. I am cautious to call him a man because.. Well.. he’s dead.
The man in front of her stood 6’6 tall, as thin as a skeleton.. Because.. He was one. He wore a white undershirt and a dark blue vest with a bow tie neatly placed on his collarbone.
Even though his skull barely moved as he laughed, his bones jostled and jingled against each other in place as he cleaned up a glass. Geir sat in a pretty crowded yet small bar.
After Disreeguard was officially discovered, plenty of adventurers had instantly set off to find this magical place in hopes of bounty or new lives.
Afterall, the desert counted as a separate land, no kingdoms stood.. Therefore there were technically no crimes. And criminal records from other lands didn’t count here, so those who reached Disreeguard would be free from prosecution.
I’m sure you did Geir
the man said, his voice deep and smooth like velvet. He stood behind the bar, slowly making people's orders, the sound of general chatter filled the ash covered atmosphere.
I did! Come on Victor, you’re not gonna tell me you didn’t believe me huhhh?
Geir leaned forward and pouted, resting her chin on the bar.
Victor tilted his head and gently chuckled, he put down a large glass before pouring freshly squeezed Leronge juice (a hybrid plant of orange and lemon) Geir took the juice and chugged it down, she burped before wiping away the excess.
I believe you plenty Geir
Victor said in his hypnotic tone.
Hey dead man! I wanna order!
shouted a large brute who had stumbled
