About this ebook

The book is a dive deep into the world of angels and spirits. Robert and Alice never expected their experiences to happen but happen they did. Shortly after their marriage, many unusually problems came to the surface causing Alice to suffer a breakdown that required hospitalization. Alice recovered, but no explanation for the cause of her breakdown was ever offered by her doctors. In the hope that further problems could be adverted,
Robert and Alice, falling back on their comparative religion backgrounds, researched what similar kinds of breakdowns might explain what had happened to Alice. Their findings indicated the possibility of an experience affecting new tribal shamans in many parts of the world, called "Spirit sickness". This realization started the couple on an extended investigation into the world of spirits which lasted several years. During this investigation the couple met angels, spirit guides and others who blessing them with a vast quantity of knowledge and spiritual understanding.
The couple also encountered demons, which had to be bravely confronted and defeated. The upshot of this work is their book, which documents for the first time a careful investigation of the world of spirit that all of us will inherit and someday be a part of.

    FOREWORD

As we all know, our earthly life does not last forever. In fact, we may not even want it to. If we live to 120 years old, most of our friends will have passed away a long time ago. In fact, our children and even some of our grandchildren may already be gone. It may not be a very happy existence to live lonely life without the company of old friends and family members. Under these conditions most of us would welcome an ending of our earthly life followed by reunification with our old friends and family. A question we all need to ask ourselves is what kind life we will be leading after our earthly life has drawn to a close? While it is impossible to know for sure, our book investigates one couple’s experiences and events which shed a degree of light on an answer to this question.

This is not a book about other people’s lives and experiences, it is a book about what the two of us experienced during our actual lives. What happened to us was not expected to happen, but these unusual events have made it possible for us to overcome many challenges in our private lives. Along the way, we have vastly increased our spiritual perspective and understanding of both ourselves and all of creation. Our life has, simultaneously, become frighting at times and rewarding beyond all measure at other times. We have succeeded beyond our wildest dreams in the areas of business success and personal fulfilment.

Those events which were frightening we didn’t ask for or expect, but the success which came later was also unexpected, remarkable, and very surprising. Let me say, speaking for both Alice and I, that we never dreamed that something like this could happen to us but now that it has, we are both so very grateful that the two of us were chosen as vessels to receive the bounty of these gifts. We hope and pray for each one of you that similar gifts will come your way and you will lead lives of richest fulfilments as the two of us have.

    SECTION 1

    WHAT DOES RELIGION

    TELL US ABOUT

    ETERNAL LIFE?

    CHRISTIANITY

We know from the gospel of John 3:16 that God has given us all his promise of eternal life, God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Therefore, all who believe in Jesus will not die but will experience eternal life. The Christian gospels teach us the importance of achieving states of being that we all keep securely tucked within our hearts. First and foremost Jesus teaches us to maintain lives of humility because humility is the MOST important state of being for any of us to achieve. Jesus’ gospels also teach us how to treat each other (with the virtues of love, compassion, caring, empathy, generosity, kindness, forgiveness and without judgement).

St. Paul’s letters teach us the importance of having faith that Jesus will bring us along as he, and we, ultimately ascends together toward our heavenly home. St. Paul had settled an old question of how a gentile could become a Christian directly without having to first convert to Judaism. St. Paul’s conclusion was there is no such thing as second-class Christians. A gentile who becomes a Christian is just as much a Christian as a Jew who recently converted to Christianity. St. Paul’s conclusion was based on a vision experienced by St. Peter in which St. Peter saw a blanket containing all the of earth’s animals descending to the earth. God is telling St. Peter that all animals are my creations, and all are inherently good. In the same way, St. Paul recognized that gentiles are also God’s creations, and they too are inherently good and deserve to become Christians.

However, what we will encounter in heaven and what our lives there will be like there remains a mystery. Jesus did tell us that when we reach heaven, we will all be a little like the angels. Only the book of Revolutions (the last book of the New Testament) contains additional content describing some activities in the next life. However, very little of this description has anything to do with human beings, except for the twelve tribal elders who form the leadership of the twelve tribes of Israel, and Babylon, the bad (bad) woman.

    HINDUISM

Hinduism teaches the way to God is through achieving an intimate relationship with one or more of the various aspects that God assumes; with each aspect teaching a difference lesson in human existence. Hindus believe that each of these Godly forms (perhaps an unlimited number) contain the entire essence of God. It is by internalizing the essence of God, which exists within of each of us, that one realizes the goals of Hindu meditation. In Hinduism, each person reaches deep within himself or herself to conduct a very personal individual search for the God within.

Hindus believe in reincarnation which means all of us undergo an ongoing process of deaths and rebirths that is driven by the karma we have accumulating during our previous existences. However, there seems to be no prediction of any kind of existence occurring between our deaths and rebirths.

The Hindus say there are 330 million Gods. What I think the Hindus are saying with this number is that God has an infinite variety of faces. In Hinduism there is a principle called Istar Divarti, which translates roughly from ancient Sanskrit as divine essence. The meaning of Divine Essence is that Hindus believe the ultimate essence of God resides in, and is available to all human beings, somewhere within each of these 330 million Hindu gods and goddesses. Each Hindu encouraged to finds his/her own special deity, who matches his or her own individual temperament and predisposition. By each of us devoting ourselfs to their own special deity, the very essence of God can be perceived as working within each man or woman’s soul in a form called the Atman. It doesn’t matter which deity you choose; the point is to devote yourself to whichever essence shines most brightly into your life. By so doing, the atman within each of us ultimately reaches out, and finally becoming unified with God’s ultimate essence.

Although there may seem to be an uncountable number of Hindu deities, each of them is part of a connected hierarchy originating from the three principal Hindu deities. The other deities are in some way are related to these principal deities as Aspects or Avatars (incarnations). The existence of the three principal deities is very interesting because of their profound similarity to the three persons of the Christian Trinitarian God. In the case of Hinduism, the Trinity consists of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. Where Brahma is a uniformly pure spirit associated with creation, Vishnu is the lawgiver, and Shiva is the destroyer. Hinduism often seems terribly complex and convoluted to the western mind. However, Hindus say their accepting religion encompasses all spiritually. Hindus believe that if it is truly of God, then it has a place within the flexible accepting Hindu framework.

    BUDDHISM

Buddhism sprang from Hinduism, in much the same way that Christianity sprang from Judaism. Buddhism goes to an opposite extreme relative to Hinduism in its understanding of God. Buddhism has no place for Gods or Goddesses. Buddhism is a religion of the mind, of cosmic process, of repeating cycles, focusing on humanity evolving goal of ending the pain and suffering of every human being.

Prince Siddhartha, the man who was the historic Buddha, lived in India about 400 years before Jesus lived in Palestine. Prince Siddhartha mediated for many years on the meaning of, and the ultimate causes of the pain and suffering of human beings. He realized that his early years of luxury (lived in the castle of his father the king) was no answer, but his later experiences as an extreme monastic ultimately brought him no closer to the truth. His answer came to him at the time of his enlightenment, when he realize that pain is always caused by our attachments, nothing more, nothing less. Attachments to wealth, attachment of our ego, attachments to other human beings, and attachment to our how other people think about us. The attachment list is endless. Enlightenment, which the Buddha said can be achieve by anyone, who comes to recognizes that all of us torture
