About this ebook
In the midst of so many questions about God, our reason for existence, and the meaning of everything around us, this work answers the greatest mystery in the history of mankind. Through a vision—both innovative and revolutionary—and a thorough analysis of the two branches that throughout history have defined our lives directly or indirectly, this book seeks to go beyond the realisation that religion and science have diverged over the years.
The work that the reader has in hand is not meant to be a superfluous conspiracy theory, a simple philosophical thought or a utopian idealisation. It aims instead to be a milestone for the thinking of the new man, and is based on logical, sensible, factual and concrete arguments, from which the mystery is unveiled: the mystery to which neither science nor religions have succeeded by giving a full and unanimous response, until today. This book is intended to redefine our beliefs and convictions, find points of convergence between both branches—and thus chart a new path for the discovery of the essence behind God, our mission as human beings, and the existence of everything present in the universe.

Introduction
This work can be considered not only as research but also as a philosophical, scientific, and theological piece. It consists of excerpts of studies, reports, books, and articles of authors about the issues in question, but its core is a result of deep introspection, the sole responsibility of the author, translated into a revolutionary vision that responds to the most pointed question about humankind and the universe. This book is part of a series of investigations on scientific and religious facts, but it is scoped to a revolutionary thesis/innovative theory. Noting these facts from a neutral perspective, as an author, my main goal is that readers eventually draw their own conclusions. On one hand, this work seeks to compel you to spend a day of reflection on the various conceptions that we – humans – have concerning the existence of God and His true essence, and on everything which involves our role in the universe. On the other hand, this work intends to subject the design of the reader to new visions, so you can uncover the position of both religion and science. In short, this book, designed after several years of study, research, and reflection, seeks a new framework of an old problem. This work is founded largely and decisively in very old findings. From a young age, I was able to acknowledge the relevance that both science and religion have on our lives, but in very distinctive ways.
What is the biggest secret of humankind? What is the biggest secret of the universe? The questions are quite complex, so the answer for those questions must be complex and complete.
In fact, we occupy most of our time focusing on more objective and tangent issues. For many years, we were governed by beliefs, many of them justified, but mostly unjustified. People wander through the world always looking to believe in the existence of something superior to us, however great the invisibility of what that may be. On the other hand, intentionally or otherwise, scientific development ultimately refutes many of our beliefs.
Is God real? Or alternatively, is God a product of humans’ hyperactive imaginations? What consequences could there be if neither religion nor science is following the right path?
Are there converging points between the two sides? How would God be seen in a more realistic concept? Giving the case arisen in the present, in which one or more universally recognised prophets came to earth, would their ideological currents of God (or gods) or of higher beings be similar to previously broadcasted dogmas preached by their faithful followers throughout the ages? Does the possible emergence of new beliefs amount to a completely new face of the old
? Moreover, can an innovative ideological current about God turn out to be more adjustable to the reality of our times? How could this new ideology perceive our existence and our role in the universe? Have the interpretations of the essence and content of religious paradigms been made/ given correctly by the men of God
to us – the believers? Or were they designed to safeguard the interests of the people who govern and subjugate believers indirectly to social submission? Is science a source of truth that fully guarantees the end of doubts about the questions of our existence that we cannot answer? Will there be enough evidence to refute our beliefs, as they have been taught? Was the immensity of the universe conceived exclusively for man? How would religions react if we discover the existence of extra-terrestrial beings? Are we prepared for a different reality of consecrated religious beliefs? In addition, can scientific theories explain everything?
Like it or not, both religion and science itself have not given us absolute, unanimous, and concrete answers to these questions. And what if it is all a big mistake? In this book, we will embark on a journey that will analyse all its pros
and cons
. We try to allude to the various facts – compiled by several experts in the field – and examine them from different points of view. We note that science is leading when it comes to producing an unbiased perspective on all faiths, but religions also have their role. As for the study of religion, I will focus on one of the most popular religions, which for many years has led the world: Catholicism. Without any disregard or disrespect to other relevant religions, the focus on the Catholic faith is to identify the most accurate perspective in this whole picture. This work can be analysed from various points of view, but I think it is very important that while reading, for the reader to have a completely open mind, regardless of one’s personal beliefs. My text is mainly intended to create awareness among religious people, sceptics, and atheists, as well as religious fundamentalists.
I am aware that this work may be an object of criticism, given its context, and especially its essence. There are those who may be affected by this work, especially the intellectual elitists, who always seem ready to point out defects and gaps, as they are some of the most fervent religious people. Our Secret is the result of intensive research about our beliefs and is based on theological and scientific studies, as well as personalities and thoughts of the past and present. As I have said, my view on the connection between science and religion, culminating in understanding the reason to be out of the sight of many, diverges from antagonism and/or the paradox that always seemed to exist between these two strands. The goal is to unite them, looking for a converging point, to find a new way of looking at the source and foundation of our existence. This book does not try the Deja vu
feeling of theological works, but instead, its goal is to bring everyone to a new reality, re-write history, and offer you a new universe of the universe, assuming that both religion and science have incorrect aspects but also true and homogeneous aspects. In this odyssey, we will seek to unite them in a single reality that can give a more clear-sighted vision of not only about our existence but also about everything that is around us as well as the role played either by God (or gods) and by science.
1. The Origin
1.1. Genesis According to Science
Broadly speaking, the theory of the Big Bang aims to address the evolution of the universe from its beginning to the times we live in. This theory corresponds to one of the multiple scientific formats that seek to explain the real reason behind the universal reality. The theory makes numerous predictions, among which many were fortunate enough to be proven by investigative scrutiny. As a result, this theory became the most popular and accepted theory on the development of the universe. The most important aspect when addressing the issue of the Big Bang theory is the expansion.
Many people conceive the Big Bang as the moment in which all the matter and the energy of the universe were concentrated in a tiny point. This point exploded, scattering matter in space – and that was how the universe began. In fact, the Big Bang elucidates the expansion of space itself, which brings results from the fact that everything inserted into this space is getting further way from each other (dark matter, stars, universal objects), therefore its distance keeps increasing. Although many people believe that the Big Bang theory refers to an explosion, it is actually the expansion of the universe. Today, when we look at the sky at night, we see galaxies separated by what appear to be vast tracts of empty space. In the early moments of the Big Bang, all matter, all energy, and all observable space were compressed in a zero volume and infinite density area. Cosmologists call this phenomenon Singularity
. So how the universe looked like, at the beginning of the Big Bang? According to the theory, it was extremely dense and hot. There was so much energy in it that matter, as we know it, could not arise. Nevertheless, the universe expanded rapidly, which means it was becoming less dense and much cooler. As it expanded, matter began to form and radiation began to lose power. In just a few seconds, the universe was formed from a singularity that extended into space.
The result of the Big Bang was the formation of the four basic forces of the universe: Electromagnetism, strong nuclear interaction, weak nuclear interaction, and gravity. At the beginning of the Big Bang, such forces were all unified. It was shortly after its beginning that they parted and started to present themselves in their current form; however, it is still a mystery for scientists to understand how these forces were united. Many physicists and cosmologists continue to work on the development of the theory of Grand Unification, which would explain how it happened and how these forces relate to each other. Can you frame the Biblical God in the context of this great explosion or expansion? Is it possible to conceive of a God, a mentor of a creation on a large scale, involving the evolution of all beings, species, and forms?
What really existed before the Big Bang/Genesis?
Theologians who have pondered this question have leant towards the God created time, so there was no ‘before’ idea
.
Remarkably, many modern physicists would also tend to agree, but for slightly different reasons, and again, we have at least two options.
If time began at the Big Bang, the question of what the universe is expanding into is nonsense. In relativity, time is said to stop as you approach
