About this ebook

Please note: This is a companion version & not the original book. Book Preview:

#1 The Greek word for saint is hagios, and it refers not to one’s character but to a state of being. Every believer is a saint, even the most ordinary and the most immature.

#2 Every true believer is a saint, set apart by God. The biblical meaning of the word saint is someone who has been purchased by Christ with His own blood and has been separated unto God to be transformed into the image of His Son.

#3 It is not always easy for saints to live up to their calling. We are saints, but we are not perfect. We have desires that are against the Spirit, and those desires are opposed by the flesh to keep us from doing what we want to do.

#4 The Bible has a word for saintly conduct that is unbecoming. It is sin. We often fail to see our own sin, but we must realize that we are saints, and therefore responsible for living as saints.

    #1

The word saint is used in the Bible to describe a state of being, not one’s character. Every believer, even the most ordinary and the most immature, is a saint.

    #2

Every true believer has been separated or set apart by God for God. We don’t become saints by our actions, but by the immediate supernatural action of the Holy Spirit who works this change deep within our inner being.

    #3

The disconnect between what God has seemingly promised us and what we experience in our daily lives is due to the internal struggle between the flesh and the Spirit, which is fought daily in the heart of every Christian. We are called to live as saints, and our conduct should be unbecoming a saint.

    #4

Sin is what people outside our Christian communities do.
