About this ebook
Please note: This is a companion version & not the original book. Book Preview:
#1 The prepper community is full of people who believe that the only way to cope with an upcoming disaster is to change the way we treat one another, the economy, and the environment right now.
#2 The farm was also serving as an equestrian center and tactical training facility. J. C. knew his stuff, and he was able to train young farmers in sustainable agriculture.
#3 Some people simply hire a prepper company to bury a prefab steel-lined bunker somewhere on their property. These are usually for individuals or families, and not many are being constructed on that scale.
#4 The preppers who sought my advice were aware of the limitations of their environment, and they seemed to want something more than just disaster preparedness. They spoke about politics and philosophy.

#1
I was invited to deliver a speech at a super-deluxe resort to a hundred or so investment bankers. I was shocked by the scale of the place and the isolation. I had to use a map to find my way around.
#2
I was asked to meet with five super-wealthy men who were interested in questions about the future of technology. They were mainly concerned with how they would maintain authority over their security forces after the event, whether it be environmental collapse, social unrest, or nuclear explosion.
#3
The digital future felt open-ended in the early 1990s, when many believed that human beings could create any future they imagined. But now, the billionaires who are supposed to be the champions of this survival-of-the-fittest business landscape are the ones who are catastrophizing it.
#4
The digital revolution was a business opportunity, and everyone rushed back into the tech sector. The future became less a thing we create through our present-day choices and hopes for humankind, and more a
