Mary resides in Radnor, Ohio with her husband, Jim. Together they enjoy farm life, hard work, vacations, family and friends. She is a farm girl who discovered her niche as a Christian author and speaker. Mary loves sharing about the Lord through both her written and spoken words. Mary’s life is an open book as she shares her joys, struggles and embarrassing moments. As a Christian author and speaker, Mary’s objective is to point you toward Jesus. Her words are simple, and her examples are relatable, but when Jesus touches your heart it is amazing. When you follow Him wholeheartedly, and align your dreams with God's will, the outcome is life altering. The first goal of Mary’s ministry is to offer you encouragement and inspiration. She is a "seed planter." The person who sees a glimmer of hope in the small day-to-day routines of life. Therefore, the key verse for her ministry is: “When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours.” (Romans 1:12). Once the seed of hope is planted in your heart, Mary motivates you to stay in God's Word to seek wisdom, and learn more about Jesus' amazing grace. “If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking." (James 1:5). Mary’s prayer is that you have a personal relationship with our Redeemer, because when you Bloom with Jesus, you become a child of God who is cultivated for your beauty. This beauty does not happen overnight, it is a gradual change within your soul, because of your relationship with Jesus. For more information of God's grace, go to www.MaryRodman.com/gods-promises/.

    Foreword

The simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ. (2 Corinthians 11:3b)

WHEN I THINK OF MARY, the above Scripture comes to my mind. There is a child-like inquisitiveness about her, but also a wisdom that goes beyond her years. She is transparent and honest about her struggles as she walks this journey of Faith with Christ.

Her books invite us along for the trek as she opens her heart and life to us. Her stories of real life and genuine struggle allow us a glimpse into the wonder of finally belonging somewhere in this world.

Her purity of heart and devotion of spirit to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, inspire courage in us as we pace out our own Journeys with Jesus.

Mary is that walking companion everyone wants to have. Her casual conversation style of writing opens us up to new hope and new life in Jesus. Come along with Mary in her walk with Jesus as she helps us to see the joy in our own Blooming Crazy lives.

    Introduction

BEFORE YOU GO Blooming Crazy, take charge of your Blooming Crazy Life. Sometimes life can spin out of control to the point where you don’t know where to begin. You may struggle with priorities, fatigue, and or feel overstretched.

Before your life spirals any further, join me for this 30-day devotional journey. Every minute is precious in your busy life, but making time for God should be your highest priority. When God is first everything else falls into place.

The following devotionals are relatable stories and easy to follow. These stories from my life are intertwined with scripture which helps you apply the Bible stories and verses to your life. Each daily devotional helps you grow a deeper relationship with your Savior. So how do you begin?

Carve out a time that works best for you. Many say Always start your day with Jesus. I’m not opposed to that philosophy, but what if you’re not a morning person. Possibly ending your day with Jesus is best for you. There is no right or wrong time. I have done some of my best Bible reading at 4 am, so consider all possibilities based on your schedule.

Pray. Pray. Pray. Every time we approach scripture, we should ask God to open our hearts to His Word. Pray before you start. Pray if you are confused or feel the nudge to pour your heart out to God. Pray when you end your study and thank Him for being with you.

Journaling is a key part of Christian growth. It allows you to write your prayers, record your thoughts, and highlight stories or scriptures which speak to you. Writing your thoughts now may help you in the future. If you purchased a copy of Blooming Crazy Life with journal pages you are all set. If not, grab a journal or notepad to record your thoughts and prayers. Each devotional has a thought or question to help you start journaling. Those questions are just a guideline, please write what is on your heart.

Find a location that is comfortable, but not so comfy that you fall asleep. When you decide on a location, make sure you have a notepad, highlighters, and pens to make notes.

Read and study at your own pace. Take as much time as you need for each devotional. God doesn’t care how long it takes, He just wants to spend time with you.

Blessings—When you commit to spending time with Jesus, you will be blessed. He will speak to your heart, open your mind to new thoughts, comfort you, and possibly even wipe away some tears. So remember to count your blessings each day.

God gives His children all they need in this Blooming Crazy Life. Your days may be busy and frustrating, or calm and peaceful. Regardless of your status, time spent with Jesus is always good!
