      Lovers & Friends

      If you and i were lovers

      living along the sea being nurtured by nature

      unlocking island secrets

      with our passion being the key

      to be entangled in ecstasy

      As we lay in the sand

      Two black impressions where

      we contorted on the land

      if you and i were friends

      who ate lunch everyday at 3

      by the land tasting and describing

      the fuzzy fruit of kiwi

      our time spent talking

      in lieu of touching

      getting lost in each others lip’s

      instead of being connected

      At or compiles at the hips

      two meaningful mortals

      meeting to mold minds

      a friendship is the beginning

      to a divine love’s design

      A lost love

      To see her was to want her

      to know her was to love her

      to hold her was heaven

      what a mistake i made,

      to lose her was a tragedy

      to mistreat her was a sin

      at one times she could have been my love

      now she’s a forgotten friend

      to see her was finding a treasure

      today when i saw her i received a gift

      seeing her i provided the utmost pleasure

      from her presence i received a lift

      at one time i was in her thoughts

      now i’m just her forgotten friend

      now i realize something about her

      i’ve fallen in love with her again.
