About this ebook
For young children to learn to read, they must first memorize the alphabet. A through Z for You and Me! provides a resource designed for children in preschool and kindergarten. Useful for teachers as a classroom tool or for parents to share at home, this educational book serves as a fun and effective way to teach the alphabet. It uses repetition to encourage visual and aural recognition of letters, helping young learners quickly grow familiar with the alphabet in preparation for learning to read.

I was undergoing whole brain radiation when the inspiration for this book occurred. It is actually a funny story, I had a strange reaction to the cancer treatments of whole brain radiation and chemo. So I wrote this book and it was actually written with my left hand when I an right handed. Ive worked in kindergarten for years so i guess the desire was driven to help children just came out of my brain on to paper, I greatly thank all of my doctors and my family, I need to thank Marcia K. Horn, JD Director, Exon 20 Group ICAN®, International Cancer Advocacy Network (https://askican.org). And the wonderful team of loving teachers at ACPS Alexandria City Public Schools. Espescially my principal Rachael Dischner, with out whom I I never could have survived in kindergarten. side effect from the radiation where I started writing with my left hand (I am right handed). I wrote all over the house in dry erase marker! I wrote the whole book left handed. As a former kindergarten teacher, we were always researching fun ways to teach the students how to memorize the alphabet - this book is the solution! My goal? In the ten years I was an educator i wanted to help children become literate in a fun, positive way. I hope you find this book helpful as you read with your loved ones! A special thank you: My loving husband, James, and our four children, without whom I could never have done this. My darling sisters, Margaret and Helen Marcia K. Horn, J.D, of the Exon 20 Group International Cancer Advocacy Network - Dr. Horn has helped me since October 2018 since I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. The Exon 20 Group, a global multi-stakeholder and working group at ICAN, the International Cancer Advocacy Network Principal Rachael Dischner of Alexandria Public Schools - Ms. Dischner hired me and supported me unconditionally, I loved working for her at first with Arlington Public schools. And followed her to Alexandria county where I met the most loving and caring team of kindergarten teachers, especially Kaitlyn Side, Ashley Willis, Moises Cisneros and Susan Carano and Dora Cottrol. Sincerely, Karen Hutton Former Teacher
