About this ebook

A steamy, short paranormal thriller set in the World of Crimson.

Xander Sun paints using the energy of the Earth. When a sexy vixen becomes his muse, he finds new uses for his brush.

When his new partner is placed in Crimson Memorial, Xan wants to entertain the man during a visit. Since his life is empty now, he has no choice in a tale other than his most traumatic one: how he became cursed.

Decades before becoming an agent at the Department o Paranormal Affairs and Activities, Xander Sun traveled the world as an artist. Once he visits Crimson, Maryland, one of the hotbeds for paranormal energy, he meets a young woman named Romina. The two quickly bond, but the bond is strained thanks to her family who considers him an outsider.

Will they allow the pair to continue with their passionate romance, or will their hate tear them apart?
Welcome to Crimson, a posh, ocean-side city on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. But it's not just a tourist trap; it's home to all sorts of things that go bump in the night. Vampires, Skinwalkers, and Witches, among other creatures, roam the city streets, preying on the unwitting humans who have serviced them for generations.

Smut writer was supposed to be a joke!By listing "smut writer" as a profession on Facebook many moons ago, a page was created in its honor. Despite not knowing what to do with the moniker, the likes began to mount. Not one to waste a gift, I decided to attempt to take up the mantle. Now I'm diving into the role. I've always dabbled in erotica (particularly of the dark urban fantasy variety), but since I have more time on my hands than I used to, I've decided to dive deeper into the hobby. More works to come. I wished for elation at seeing Kip looking so healthy. Instead, all I felt was the usual void in the center of my soul. Still, I planted a small smile on my lips when I walked into his hospital room to let him know I cared on some level. And I did care, just not as much as I should.

Kip gave me his usual good-humored grin. Hey, there, Xan. I wasn’t expecting you so soon, he said. His southern drawl sounded thicker than usual and heavy with emotion.

I’d imagine not. After the incident with the succubus, and once he’d somewhat physically recovered, Kip had to be transferred to an inpatient facility for the sake of his mental health. His emotions had become too erratic for his own good.

A succubus heightens every pleasurable sensation, forcing your body into an overdrive of the happy hormones: dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin, and endorphins. Having a sexual encounter is an overdose of them and coming down is supposedly a nightmare.

In essence, Kip lost his mind, if only briefly. He desperately wanted those feelings again, and I had little doubt he would do anything to get them. Kip had attacked several agents at the Department of Paranormal Affairs and Activities’ on-site medical facility. Over the course of a few days, he ranted and cried, physically threatened nurses and doctors. He needed something more than our staff could give him.

Director Clinton Jacobs, head of the DPAA, gave us permission to transfer Kip to Crimson General Hospital. Agents had to be posted and the only guests allowed were Dr. Kevin Loweman as well as me. Loweman is a Skinwalker, a shapeshifter, so he knew of the paranormal world, and he’d been one
