    Dedication

I dedicate the book The Gift of Poetry Inspirational to the lover of my soul Jesus Christ. The book is based on the Living Word of God and my intimate walk with Christ for fifty years. God’s breath enabled me to write. Second Timothy 3:16 says, All scripture is God-breathed. Breathe, inhale, exhale, say, whisper.

I will continue to thank Christ for shedding His blood for me and accepting His blood on Calvary, which guarantees my eternal life. His blood reached down and pulled me out of a life of despair—the meaning of despair, hopelessness, depression, misery, and wretchedness.

I remember before I gave my life to Jesus Christ, I would continually have this dream where I was falling, falling, falling from a high place, darkness all around me. It was a bottomless pit. There was no end to the pit to catch me from falling.

June 1971 Sunday, that day I shall never forget when I gave my life to Christ. I looked up at the sky, and the sky looked blue, and the birds were singing. I looked at the grass; the grass looked green. The voice of the Lord spoke from inside me and said, Marvel not you have been born again (John 3:7, KJV). I took the time to look up the word marvel. Marvel means being amazed; wonder; of admiration; miracle, sensation, phenomenon.

That dream I once had pertaining to myself—falling, falling, falling into a bottomless pit—has ceased. His nail-scarred hands immediately picked me up and put me in His bosom, where I will stay for eternity. I will continue to dedicate my life to Him because He dedicated His life to me. He is King of kings, Lord of lords.

I love You, Daddy, Jesus Christ, my Father, for eternity.

    —Your daughter,

    Sarah Ann Bell

To the readers: let the words in this book saturate your spirit as you read. Let them stay hidden forever in your spirit, ponder on them. Ponder; be in deep thought, think them over and in your own mind.

    Acknowledgements

I dedicate this book to my precious sister in Christ, Louise January, who stood by me as a priceless friend and faithful friend. To my three lovely daughters, with their nicknames, Marva Rena (Lost and Found), Gaylynne (Golden Bird), and Teri Lynne (New Beginnings). My granddaughter Tiffani Danielle is a blessing to the family who calls me Nema. This book is also in memory of my precious mother, Annie Laura Hartfield, and my dad, William Hartfield. My mother went home to be with the Lord on July 15, 1995, and a poem (A Mother’s Tears), birthed July 10, 1995, appears in this book. I thank the Lord for Laura Anne Krall-Warrick. It was a divine appointment from the hand of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit was able to make the connections because Laura Anne and I were sensitive to His leading. The Lord equipped her and me to help reach the lost souls for His glory. I thank the Lord for her being faithful and the sharp business mind with which the Lord has blessed her.

Acknowledgments to Louise January, eternal sister, who has been by my side for over forty years.

Jim and Laura Warrick for seeing the vision for The Gift of Poetry Inspirational and God’s Love Overpowers Ministry. Ryan Rody and family came to my first book signing at the YMCA at Redford, MI. Thank the Lord because I thought I had missed it.
