Jwyan C. Johnson

Years ago, author and award-winning poet Jwyan C. Johnson wrote the script to a cartoon. The story starts off with a police chase to a giant dictionary: the home of our vocabulary words. Cops break down the cover, and they all rush in with their weapons drawn. And as they move around inside this book, we learn that they’re looking for one specific word: a simple 9-lettered noun. It has been bragging about its countless offenses committed against our society, against mankind. Surprising unarmed, and not dangerous, this specific word simply turns us against each other.Detectives follow the "alphabetical” directions to the right page, the right column and the right row, only to discover that this word has disappeared! Nowadays this divisive word lives inside our minds if we let it! The accomplished mystery writer reveals that "ignorance” was the word the police were after. The creative writings of Jwyan C. Johnson aim to biblically "protect and serve” the mind state because "ignorance is still at large in our society!” And with his latest kingdom-seeking contribution, Christian Parables, there are some places where ignorance no longer resides so we can win back each other.

My Mental Girlfriend - Jwyan C. Johnson

    Chapter 1

    The Jury Whisperer

It’s an invisible trap, the expert warns the secretary. "Saving money is eventually you holding yourself hostage in this economy."

    Really? the secretary leans forward.

"Success is when you’re living off your assets instead of your income. Until then, one must practice my Dominion Plan."

I see. Would you like more coffee uh…uhm…

Max Penny, the financial expert offers. "But it’s okay to call me Penny Pincher like my commercials. It’s my company and it’s what I do! Even my wife calls me Penny Pincher, especially when she’s shopping."

The secretary laughs as the law office door opens.

Honey, Max calls as she walks inside.

Hey, Mya approaches with her lawyers.

Hello Counselors. I’m her husband Max Penny.

I’m Miles Turner, he replies with a handshake. This is Tana Lynn. Let’s talk in my office.

The couple follows their lawyers inside.

Sorry I couldn’t make her arraignment, Max offers. My last financial consult went a little over. What happened in court today?

They’re going forward with the charges. Trial is scheduled one month from now.

Unbelievable. Honey how are you holding up?

This is a nightmare, Mya replies. I can still feel the prosecutor’s finger pointing at me as she said ‘murderer.’

Counselors, Max offers, we don’t need blind lawyers with selective listening strategies. You can be clear there’s absolutely no way Mya killed her stepdaughter, my daughter.

What child name do you guys prefer? Mrs. Penny I notice you refer to Imogene as Emma for short.

Please call her Imogene, Mya selects. I learned only yesterday… she hated that nickname.

    How? Max asks.

It’s was in her diary. Detectives found it at the crime scene.

We have an extra problem, Tana adds. Our motion to suppress the diary as hearsay failed. 21 pages all complain about Mya.

"I didn’t even know Imogene had a diary," Mya adds.

Also, Miles considers, "some entry dates don’t match Imogene’s child-custody schedule. But the good news is prosecution showed their whole hand by only charging Murder. They didn’t add Conspiracy, Negligence, or even a Cyber Crime! This means they’re only following the path of Imogene’s diary. They have no idea what we found."

    Miles leans forward to continue.

"For our best defense strategy, I first need
