About this ebook
Floating on the Dead Sea on a glorious morning in May, Eden Klein is blissfully unaware of the dangerous adversary that will soon send her trekking across the desolate, arid landscape of the Judean Desert...
About the Author
Linn Strang spent her childhood skiing and fishing in Swedish Lapland, before moving to the scorching heat of the Middle East. Her B.A. in International Relations and M.A. in Conflict Resolution would have been perfect for a job at the UN, but instead, she makes good use of them by writing larger-than-life stories that keep readers flipping the pages. She writes full-time and lives in Jerusalem with her family and two cats, Nefi and Sisu.

About the Author
Desert Storm
THE SKY WAS A bright cornflower blue, only slightly darker than the gentle swell of the salty water in which Eden floated, just after breakfast on a beautiful day in May.
The stretch of the Dead Sea where she’d walked into the water was difficult to reach even if you came by car—which she hadn’t—and the bubbling small mineral springs were well hidden.
Surrounded as she was by only birdsong and the gentle rustling sound of the breeze in the brushes she almost forgot why she’d come all the way out here in the first place.
Alone with her thoughts, she was still aware of her surroundings. Her senses never completely let her relax, but it was as close as she would get.
The feeling of weightlessness as she bobbed on the buoyant surface had a hypnotic effect and she closed her eyes in bliss, letting the gentle swell carry her like a lightweight wine bottle cork.
Not far from where she’d left her backpack sat a rod stuck firmly into the dry ground, on top of which sat an electronic scanner and next to it on the ground were a pair of long-range binoculars.
She still had time. The meeting with her contact wasn’t until noon, and she planned to take it easy until then. She had a clear view of the spot where she’d left her gear, and the nearest dirt road was at a sufficient distance. The chances that somebody would stumble upon this place were minuscule.
A couple of colorful bee-eaters flew overhead, their vivid blues, greens, and golden yellow-brown markings shimmering in the early morning light like polished metals. Their slender feathery forms were soon too far off to see clearly and she relaxed, waiting to see what type of bird would fly by next.
