Prologue
A joyful Christmas season leaves an 8 year old Anabel in grimace after she loses her father Jason and mother Beauty Peace, in a terrible car accident. The young girl remains with his affectionate Uncle Jeremy, Aunt Gladys and her cousin Sharon. After the memorial and burial ceremony in Neldada, the family moves to stay at the ‘PEACE MANSION’ in Arusa village.
Arusa village is an epitome of serenity, unity and utmost love. It however crumbles down into atrocious acts when Anabel meets a heartless and selfish Joyna. The two teenagers disrespect their guardians to embark on a quest for freedom. Their ambitions take them to a farm owned by an evil and cannibal giant Gonzalo.
At the farm they are made slaves. They plough and grow apples but with only two meals per day. As days pass by, their youthful skin becomes pale.
Back in Arusa village, Sharon and Jaden (a friend to Anabel and Sharon) assemble a team inclusive of 8 teenagers: Mogomotsi, Penuell, Raymond, Bantu, Tumedi, Ephraim, Jonathan and Artfield to find Anabel. Sergeant Reginah Mk and News reporter Reginald Mk join the teens in their mission.

Chapter 1
The Seed
On a full moon night, with wolves howling in the east was the starry sky beautifully painted by stars. A cool breeze swayed through the window, making a tent
over Anabel with a silk pink Sofia curtain. She gently moved the curtain off her, to gaze at the glooming fire flies on the green.
Suddenly flashes of lightning accompanied by rumbling sounds of thunder appeared, on the dark blue night sky of Arusa village. Timorous she quickly shut the windows and hid under the navy blue Sofia printed blanket. It poured heavily all night while she laid dormant till the soft spoken Queen woke her up at dawn.
Beauty: Wakey wakey sleepy head.
(Lovingly spoke Beauty to her 8 year old little princess).
Anabel: Two more minutes’ mom,
replied Anabel as she covered her head with the white rose imprinted pillow.
(Anabel’s mom taking the pillow off and resting her daughter’s head on her laps)
Beauty: Oh my beautiful baby – I know it is your first day at school, but trust me you are going to be okay, make new friends and learn new things.
Anabel: But mom what if I make a mistake in class? They are going to make me a laughing stock.
Beauty: Do not worry you will leave all of them awestruck with your intelligence. One more thing never be afraid to make mistakes my dear, we learn from them. Who is my brave and intelligent girl?
Anabel: Anabel is your brave and intelligent girl mom.
Beauty then helped the 8 year old spruce up for school. There she was blessing the mirror with her exquisite light skinned round face, adorned with bushy eye brows, brown eyes, small lips and nose. Her long black and shiny hair neatly resting on a white short sleeved shirt, tucked in a scotched navy blue skirt, with white socks and black sneakers. She was an absolute angel! Jason and Beauty had indeed bore a model of beauty.
Famished Anabel paced up to chow down the delicious breakfast prepared by her handsome and awesome dad. The aroma of herbs and spices in the scrambled eggs, fried Russian, fish, bacon and spicy rice on the round white plate alongside a crystal clear glass filled up to the bream with mango juice.
Soon the couple joined her and ate as one happy family. Later they got in their metallic red BMW 7 series and took a 5kilometer drive to drop off Anabel at Arusa International School.
(At school)
(Joyful faces at helter shelter in pairs and quads between two long wide blocks built with brown stock bricks, meanwhile in the center stood a loner Anabel.)
I guess school is not bad at all, look at how happy these guys are,
thought little Anabel as she walked to class with her head held high.
Upon seating down on her chair, short, light skinned and handsome Jaden with a round face winked at Beautiful Anabel. Anabel glanced at him with a grin and turned back to the teacher, meanwhile Jaden remained glued to her. He was sinking in the world of imagination, visualizing himself play with Anabel day by day using the squashy sand to build sand houses by the beach, splash water at each other and laugh, a beautiful moment indeed.
Suddenly a wrinkled hand with an antique bronze watch tapped the boy on the shoulder, shortening his film, the entire class burst in laughter leaving Jaden shy like a puppy.
Mrs Hempleton: Welcome to Arusa International School, I am Mrs Hempleton and will be taking you for all your courses this year, I am old on the outside but young inside. Do not be deceived by these glasses I wear and wrinkled faces on me. We are going to have fun throughout our classes. I love you kids.
(Pupils applauded with gladness on their eyes, exuding the happiness in their hearts)
Mrs Hempleton: Thank you, let me now hear from you, tell me your names and where you come from,
spoke Mrs Hempleton as she sat down on her maroon office chair.
Each student gave their details as per the teacher’s instructions, until it was Anabel’s turn.
Anabel: My name is Anabel; I come from Neldada but currently reside with my mom and dad in Calito ward. I want to learn a lot so I become a media personality and positively impact many lives across the globe. I love media with all my heart. Thank you.
(Mrs Hempleton was shell shocked of the zest and intelligence portrayed by Anabel)
Mrs Hempleton: You all have cute names; Anabel, Jaden, Rosemary, Queen, Jasmine, Cielo, Christian, Arabella and many more. I love you already.
Kids: We love you too.
(After hours of introduction, finally the siren alarm sounded signalling that it was break time, so they all rushed to get their lunch boxes)
Mrs Hempleton: Anabel dear come here shortly.
(Anabel walked to her, leaving other kids go out) Anabel: Yes madam.
Mrs Hempleton: You are one bubbly and intelligent girl. You will surely make a great Radio and Television Host.
Anabel: Thank you madam.
Mrs Hempleton: Go join the others.
(With a smirk) Anabel: Yes madam.
(Walking towards her mates) Jaden: Hey, I’m Jaden.
Anabel: Anabel, nice to meet you.
Jaden: Here have this chocolate.
Anabel: Thanks.
(With a smirk) Jaden: Sure, see you around.
(Break time ended, they went back to class and learnt about vowels).
After school Anabel waited by the gate for her mom and dad, who arrived in a snap. Other kids waited for their parents and school buses respectively. They all went except for one, Precious; she had gone to gulp water at the tap, only to find her bus gone. Hopeful, she stood still without any worry, as she knew
