About this ebook
A New York Times bestseller? Oh, you know the dogs weren't going to let the cats get away with that! This canine companion to I Could Pee on This, the beloved volume of poems by cats, I Could Chew on This will have dog lovers laughing out loud. Doggie laureates not only chew on quite a lot of things, they also reveal their creativity, their hidden motives, and their eternal (and sometimes misguided) effervescence through such musings as "I Dropped a Ball," "I Lose My Mind When You Leave the House," and "Can You Smell That?" Accompanied throughout by portraits of the canine poets in all their magnificence, I Could Chew on This is a work of unbridled enthusiasm, insatiable appetite, and, yes, creative genius. Plus, this is a fixed-format version of the book, which looks nearly identical to the print version.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Anyone with a dog in their life knows that dogs view the world differently than we humans do. The poems in this collection explore everything from doorbells to separation anxiety from a dog’s perspective. I think my favorite is “Another Bag”, in which the dog poet reflects on the love his human has for picking up and saving his waste in a bag.The poems are accompanied by adorable illustrations of dogs of various breeds and sizes. However, it’s disappointing that there isn’t a Shih Tzu in the bunch. Any dog lover would welcome this book as a gift, and it’s just the right size for a stocking stuffer.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5A cute little book of poems from the dog's point of view.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This is a collection of relatively horrible poetry and adorable dog pictures. It's a cute and silly book that should resonate with plenty of dog owners..or in my case remind me how blessed I am to have two old, clean, well behaved dogs who have more of an aristocratic aura.
This book looks at books of all types, sizes and ages getting into mischief and musing on the doggie life. A few gripes about purses, doggie outfits and humans who leave them home alone cover plenty of animal experiences that are both amusing and sweet.
I Could Chew on This is a cute book that would be lovely in a veterinarian office or as a coffee table book. I don't think this book has any amazing revelations about dogs, the relationship between man and dog or life in general, but its worth a few giggles and smiles. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was not as funny as I had expected. The poems were, however, quite cute with a few that were a bit crude (which was to be expected).
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5What fun! I love the poems and the photos. My favorites are Going Somewhere?, Time and Kisses.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Charming. Made me smile. My only comment is that the "I could pee on this" title used for the cat book would be equally applicable here.
