Breezing Along
‘WEE! WEE! WEEEEEE! Look at me, so wild and free!’
The super cutes looked up at their friend, Pip the pineapple, who was very high in the air. How she’d got there, they didn’t know – but there she was, way up above the treetops, tumbling like a fruit-shaped circus performer.
Pip was loving every minute. She had never done such incredible acrobatics. As she somersaulted over and over, she had a revolving view of her home, the wonderful World of Cute. When she was facing up, she could see its wide blue sky, filled with popsicle parrots and flying sweetie pies. When she was facing down, she saw the dipsy daisy fields blooming beneath her. And when she was the right way round, she could see all of Charm Glade. The pretty town was filled with cutes, going about their business, buying fruit sodas, exchanging books and making crafts in their front gardens. Everything looked cute-iful. And something smelled good, too . . .
Pip turned her head and saw – sugar puffs! Giant clouds of sweet sticky dust coming from the direction of the marshmallow factory at the edge of town!
‘This is amazing!’ she cried down to her friends. ‘And delicious!’
‘Pip! Please concentrate,’ Cami cried.
‘Be careful!’ Louis barked.
Pip wasn’t listening. She just grinned and waved. Cami the cloud was her oldest friend, along with Sammy the sloth. She’d met Lucky the lunacorn and Dee the dumpling kitty at the talent show, and then Louis the labradoodle and Micky the mini-pig at a sleepover party in the museum. Now they were all inseparable.
The super cutes been playing in the meadow when Pip had run ahead to get in some cartwheels and backflips. But while attempting a triple-whipple-flip, she’d got caught
