About this ebook
Sky is a blue jay whose spirit is laced with the forces of mischief, while sweetened with an intrinsic sense of fellowship and compassion. He is compelled to assist his diminishing number of precious friends, who are kindred animals disappearing mysteriously from the wilderness. In an epiphany, Sky uses his cleverness and cunning to devise a way in which to help protect his fellow creatures from further demise, by staining their bodies the blue color of the seas and skies. Thereby does he give friends better odds for longer lives and greater freedom.
The “Animal Clan Series” is a collection of animal stories, highlighting how the animal, mineral & vegetable worlds naturally coexist in harmony to survive & thrive when left untouched. That morality and higher ideals brings all species together to flourish gloriously when they are free of interruption and violence. Each of these tales highlights the difficulties we all face in life’s unpredictable wilderness, when natural laws and those divine are violated & those principles of harmony are ignored. People likewise navigate a psychological wilderness where nature can illuminate & appeal to humanity's hearts & minds. Our existence parallels that of the animal kingdom, where the small & weak minded may suffer more often than others, at the hands of predators. That which separates humans from savagery is when our hearts reveal to us our higher selves. Our souls are then enlightened with insight for the greater good. That unity is life's grandeur of divine forces. Our inner magnificence then shines when compassion, love, courage, patience, kindness and faith influence our life decisions. It is when our God given essence of inner conscience guides our souls to overcome all difficulties and trials.

After a Batchelor's Degree in Fine Arts, with a minor in psychology from Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles, CA in 1968, (now Calif. Inst. of the Arts, Sylmar, CA) I was drafted and spent 2 years in the military. A few years after returning home, my wife & I opened a computer graphics company in Lawndale, CA. We thrived. Though always interested in writing, my literary interests were put aside by business demands, until retiring in 1996. In 2010, I was serendipitously commissioned to illustrate a children's card game & two kid's books by a new company. This re-ignited my desires to combine my writing & caricature skills to publish children's books of my own. It was the perfect culmination of timing & the synergy of friendship. My new friend reinvigorated my dreams of authorship. I wrote & illustrated my first book in 2012, then another in December, 2013. Two more were published Dec, 2014 & June, 2015. I just completed my best so far, August 2015 is a preorder eBook. I have now authored & illustrated 5 animal tales & Illustrated a fellow author's 2 kiddy books & designed his children's card game art. I promise many more children's objects of entertainment & animal stories..

For me it is a well written book and a very educational and entertaining one.

Not sure… but (Legend of Sky) has some vaguely non-denominational religious undertones. To me I’m all in favor of the earth presentation and promoting understanding of the (world’s) complex environmental issues
