In Australia, where many animals are elusive, nocturnal and remote, filmmakers face even greater challenges. While our spectacular landscapes lend themselves to inspiring storytelling, finding a willing cast of creatures and capturing the intimacy of family life requires thinking, and even behaving, like the animals themselves.
