About this ebook
A rhyming & legendary tale about a baby dragon who inspires many to conquer their differences, in favor of harmonious living. The story begins when a crocodile mother, mistakes a dragon egg as hers & raises the baby as her own child. Crocky Dial Dooby's tiny & stumpy wings are confused for sores from a disease. Knowing no better, Dooby learns quickly he must hide his special appendages to remain accepted in the clan. As he matures, his wings can no longer be hidden, yet he charms most everyone with his dragon-like abilities. As a babe he’s fascinated with fire. Through time he realizes he ignites flames by simply sneezing or speaking. At first a novelty, he soon fascinates his friends & parents with making fire, then puts them out as a journeyman fire fighter. Ultimately he matures into quite the arbiter of social acceptance & change. Dooby becomes a hero by unifying crocodiles with dragons.

After a Batchelor's Degree in Fine Arts, with a minor in psychology from Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles, CA in 1968, (now Calif. Inst. of the Arts, Sylmar, CA) I was drafted and spent 2 years in the military. A few years after returning home, my wife & I opened a computer graphics company in Lawndale, CA. We thrived. Though always interested in writing, my literary interests were put aside by business demands, until retiring in 1996. In 2010, I was serendipitously commissioned to illustrate a children's card game & two kid's books by a new company. This re-ignited my desires to combine my writing & caricature skills to publish children's books of my own. It was the perfect culmination of timing & the synergy of friendship. My new friend reinvigorated my dreams of authorship. I wrote & illustrated my first book in 2012, then another in December, 2013. Two more were published Dec, 2014 & June, 2015. I just completed my best so far, August 2015 is a preorder eBook. I have now authored & illustrated 5 animal tales & Illustrated a fellow author's 2 kiddy books & designed his children's card game art. I promise many more children's objects of entertainment & animal stories..

CROCKY DIAL DOOBY
A Tale of Dragodiles & Crocogons
He was originally found in a sock,
Crocky Dial Dooby was adopted a croc
When he started to spring, seeing crocs had no wings,
He hid ‘em from their family Doc.
Mama and Doc just saw stumps,
They seemed more like pimples than bumps.
Doc bandaged them over. Babe’s deformities covered.
Doc mistakenly called it the mumps.
