forgive me if any of you little dragons are offended in
any way.
Before I can start the tale, I have to thank all the

The walk back to the farm after school still is a

The Early Years
Introduction
Once upon a time in the land of bees, there lived a family of dragons.
There was Bear dragon, the patriarch of the dragon clan; his wife, Smoker dragon; sons, Real, Mouse, Junior, and Baby; and one daughter, named Blossom dragon.
Bear dragon believed in the institution of the family. His main tenet in life was to make sure his wife and children would stay together. Although his smoky billowing blasts were stern warnings, they were laced with patience and kindness.
Smoker dragon also believed in the institution of the family. She was kind and gentle. Her smoky, bellowing blasts were often spiced with fumes from the tobacco plant.
Real dragon is the author of this chronicle. No more should be said.
Mouse dragon was small for his age. He was very popular and loyal to all his family members and friends.
Blossom dragon was the only girl dragon among the sibling. She brought a certain freshness to the smoky environment of the dragon den.
Junior dragon was a chip off the old block. He would often go around the den, imitating Bear dragon’s bellowing blasts.
Finally, there was Baby dragon. The youngest of the dragon family. A dragon asked to assume adulthood too soon.
Chapter 1
THE DRAGON DEN
From the outside, the den appeared to be in need of major repairs.
It was too cold in the wintertime, letting the frigid blasts from the land of northern lights come screaming in like a tidal wave.
It was too hot in the summertime, baking the occupants for three long months.
Inside the house, there was a warm and cozy atmosphere lingering complacently. The downstairs had a kitchen, a large living room, and a Veranda. The upstairs had a master bedroom, where Bear and Smoker dragon slept; a hallway bedroom, where Blossom dragon slept; and a third bedroom, where Real and Mouse dragon had their little berths.
Later on, Junior dragon arrived on the scene. He slept in the closet in Real and Mouse dragon’s room. Then, many years later, Baby dragon arrived on the scene. He joined Junior dragon in an unoccupied section of the closet.
The den was situated on a large lot.
In the springtime, Bear and Smoker dragon instituted a ritual known as planting the potatoes. All the little dragons were put into service, placing the eyes up in those infamous little holes.
As the growing season progressed, Bear and Smoker dragon instituted the ritual known as weeding the garden. This called for the service of the little dragons because it was backbreaking work. It was a ritual carried on endlessly throughout the summer.
And as you have guessed by now, there was a ritual known as digging the potatoes. This occurred before the frigid blasts arrived from the land of the northern lights.
Chapter 2
THE SEASONS
The land of the bees let the little dragons experience the four seasons.
Spring was the time of beginning again. As the snow slowly melted, life returned to the frozen soil. The trees would start sprouting leaves. The grass would start to
