Ok, so, there were plenty of reasons why Selena Stone absolutely considered herself to be very probably the youngest twenty-five-year-old out there… and the fact she still felt all ew about being around schools? That was totally one of them! Haha; yes! Such a child, and proud of it!
This car park… these big old buildings in the clinical brick stylings and curved edges of some kind of thirties lunatic asylum… well… ok, so, at least the grounds were nice! The lawns were like rolling hills, but prettily sculpted. The trees were willows, their leaves let down to shade people. And the overexcited ambiance of the constant stream of kids coming out in cute little two-by-two rows, only to break off from their friends and hurtle over to their parents’ cars and hugs and stuff?
That was more than enough to make Selena gulp down her smile.
She’d just parked her car, the little red one with headlights like bugs eyes, but there’d be no waiting for the only person who truly mattered here; not this afternoon. No. She… she was going right into the belly of that big, brick beast. She wanted to stay right here; of course she did.
She had to go in, didn’t she?
Ew.
School.
She could be back in her cosy little tented pillow fort
