About this ebook

Do you desire to know the Bible, be secure in who you are, grow more confident in your purpose and find abundant life? If so, this book is for you.

In the midst of one of the most unchurched and Bible-illiterate generations, Romans Reviewed explains the book of Romans, and brings life lessons you can apply to your life today.

Paul, the author of 13 of the New Testament books, writes to new converts in Rome. Paul’s writing is eloquent and thought-driven through the power of the Holy Spirit. We see God’s full love story to humanity come together as Paul highlights the importance of the Old Testament Jewish ways in the New Testament.

Paul explains why we are here,
what our purpose is, and where we are going.

The book of Romans is filled with a rich theological understanding that provokes us to live a godly life! We see teachings of faith, transformation, love, obedience, freedom, destiny, mystery, joy, sanctification, justification, and more.

Paul incites the Romans to change from living their own willful ways into walking in the ways of Jesus. What’s encouraging is that he even calls himself out with his own struggles. Paul had his own issues. He wanted to do the right thing, but instead, he was trapped in sin (Romans 7:24). Have you ever felt that way? If so, you’re not alone.

Read along as Paul gives us the solutions to overcome. He encourages us to mature as a follower of Jesus. He paints a picture of who we are in Christ and shows us how to share the good news in a courageous and loving way!

We see God’s full love story to humanity come together as Paul highlights the importance of the Old Testament Jewish ways switching over to the fulfilled purpose of Jesus in the New Testament, in our Story Book Fairy-Tale Reality of the Kingdom of God.

Laurie Kay Rodriguez

Laurie Kay Rodriguez has studied the Bible for most of her life. It is her second language. She has brought the book, Romans Reviewed, to life with her knowledge and love for the Word, yet in a very believable and understanding voice. She desires to pull each reader into what the Word is saying specifically to them. Get ready for an amazing ride into the past to open wide your understanding of your present and future. She is an amazing wife, mother and truly fun grandmother. An American missionary, author, teacher, body sculpting specialist, certified fitness trainer, and accomplished a theology degree. She is an avid reader and a self-taught woman of God. Early life: Born April 30, 1957, in Medford, Oregon, to Christian parents, Fred and June Nelson. Her father was a “sought after” homebuilder and her mother was a caring childcare provider. Laurie is the youngest of the six children (2 deceased at a young age—Connie and Freddy), Bryan, Randy, (Carla, my sister in law), and Julie. All of whom worked in the construction company with her Dad or helped Momma Nelson. In the Nelson family, Bible devotions came before the start of the day, and at the end of the day. They enjoyed camping, hunting and going to the beach. Family: Laurie met Samuel Rodriguez at Bethany Bible College in the late 1970s and they were married in 1978. They have three grown children; Natasha, is the oldest, married to Angel Perez. They have four delightful, mischievous children, Tatiana, Josiah, Elijah and Bella. Ashley, the middle child, is married to Michael Jappe. They have a 2 ½ year old little girl, Penelope Sophia and a 10-month old baby girl, Giselle Margauz! Sammy Rodriguez the youngest, is married to Chandler, they have a baby girl on the way! The three children were home schooled and brought up in the Church. Laurie and Sam enjoy ministering to couples, traveling, days off at the beach, watching the Niners, Warriors and SF Giants, hanging out with good friends and family, playing cards, discussing politics and being grandparents. Laurie is a true and faithful friend to many. Ministry: Laurie committed her life to Jesus Christ at an early age and has been a Sunday school teacher, she has discipled young men and women, director of Moms groups, taught couples classes with her husband and wrote a Bible curriculum, Surfing the Word. Her love of the Word of God has caused her to dig deeper into that Word to take it to the nations. As a young couple Laurie and Sam, and their children completed a 3 month discipleship training school, Crossroads, with Youth With a Mission in Salem, Oregon, and completed a three months missions trip to Romania. Upon returning from Romania they came back to minister in Sacramento, California, for a five year commitment before going to the Dominican Republic as a missionary family to work at a private school, where she discipled groups of teenage girls and women. Sam and Laurie went to Nicaragua to help stop sex trafficking of minors, one of their greatest passions. She also ministers to her clients at the spa. Laurie is working on her second book, Goodbye Daddy, Hello Father God! Laurie is an encourager and prayer warrior who lives by faith and not by sight. (Written by Friends.) Portions of Romans Reviewed revenue will be donated to organizations who work towards stopping sex trafficking of children.
