    Introduction

The very concept, Impossible Mahabharata involves the flyingimagination of a person attempting it. Fundamentally, it has to be imagined as to what would have happened in the Mahabharata if Krishna had not intervened at the right time. He has done on unlimited number of occasions. Why and how He changed the course of the epic which is like the fast-flowing Ganga, remains a mystery even today, though the epic is in our hands for the past 5200 years since Vedavyasa dictated and Lord Vinayaka wrote down the 1,25,000 slokas. It was difficult to look for things that are not there in this great book. It is told that what is there in Mahabharata is not there anywhere and what is not there in Mahabharata cannot be found anywhere else also. It has been attempted by me, for the first time by any author, to find meanings in between lines in this book. That is why, it is a mystery. And, given the vastness of this ocean called Mahabharata, there is no limit to the mysteries also.

In the course of writing this book I found many types of impossibilities. Since we do not have these things in the original Mahabharata book, it is only limited by the flight of imagination and also it's wing-spread. One common golden thread running through the whole concept is to think what would have happened if Krishna had not interfered and changed the course of events. If one analyses calmly, the whole of Mahabharata is complete

with impossibilities, filled up in the wonderful drama, conceived, directed and acted by Lord Krishna. In fact, there are at least 12 occasions when Arjuna could have died and all the Pandavas could have died in many instances. There were occasions when Krishna's promise to Bhumi Devi (for reducing her burden) would have been made impossible. Apart from these possibilities, I found some more interesting probabilities which raise many questions. Can a person who has been administered a highly potent poison escape death? If a stranger intrudes a host of snakes, will they allow
