5-Stars "How to deal with different kinds of pain...Dealing with suffering is a day-to-day job and no one is excused of it. Therefore, this book is interesting for anyone who wants to make his or her dealings easier. Chapter by chapter we are introduced to different kinds of pain and their causes and that helps a lot to identify at the beginning what is problem and how we should deal with it. Also, there are many quotes about suffering and its purpose and I find it interesting enough to write down some of them. The author's suggestion is to take this book as an interactive one and to work in groups or alone and I think that is a great idea."

Walker, M.Msc., Reiki Master/Teacher writes both fiction and nonfiction books with a metaphysical and spiritual component. Chariss is a storyteller. She doesn’t use a computer program to write her books. Instead, she sits down at her keyboard and listens to her characters as they lead her through their stories. Those are the stories you read in her published books. Her fiction expresses a visionary message that illustrates growth in a character's consciousness while utilizing a paranormal aspect. Her nonfiction books share insight, hope, and inspiration. Even though Chariss also writes dark-fiction books about insanely dark topics, there is always an essential question of the abstract nature that gives a reader increasing awareness and perception. Dedication
This book is dedicated to all those who hurt;
to all those who suffer;
and to all those who are looking for a peaceful end to the painful struggles of some life experience that has bound them in despair so they can live a more joyful life.
Introduction
This book is written as a simple reminder that we must let go of the past in order to move forward. It shares ideas and concepts to help the listener understand the types of pain and suffering we all experience.
The cause and effect of pain.
The solutions for our suffering.
And how to let go of a painful past experience and rid ourselves of the weight of those burdens.
Being alive, being connected to everything enforces the concept that we experience the same things.
We experience the same hurts and pains.
We experience the same joys and bliss.
We experience the same changes.
No experience is unique to any one of us for we have all suffered the same event to some degree.
It is with understanding the pain, that we learn from it.
And it is with understanding, that we can actually move forward and away from the painful experience.
If we understand why we do the things we do, we can change them.
Understanding allows us to shine a spotlight on the moment, examine it, and if required, change the action or make a new story.
However, if we remain ignorant of the reasons we act the way we do, we cannot change.
Being tormented by things that we do not understand can be very frightening.
This book and all of my other nonfiction books are taken from my teaching files; the files I used when I taught classes on these topics. The format I use might be different than what you are used to, but give the process a chance to work for you.
To get the most from this book, I recommend that you have a pen and notebook handy to record your personal insights, epiphanies, and research. You will want to look back on your journaling to assess your personal growth progress.
Most people learn best by reading, writing down what they have read, practicing what they have learned by implementing the new material into their daily lives, and then, explaining the information to another. I suggest that you use these methods also.
I only ask that you keep an open mind and allow yourself to move forward toward your current hopes and dreams.

1 | Suffering and Pain
What is suffering?
Suffering is another word for pain. Suffering is the physical, psychological, or spiritual experience of pain, hurt, or agony.
Suffering is the sting of a painful experience that leaves emotional scars, tenderness, or sore spots in our physical bodies, in our psyches, and in our souls.
Where do we feel suffering? In the following three areas:
Physically, we feel the hurt or discomfort of physical distress in our bodies.
Psychologically, we feel the hurt or discomfort of emotional distress in our minds.
Spiritually, we feel the hurt or discomfort of spiritual distress in our souls.
––––––––
We are tormented or haunted by something, or someone, or some experience that deeply hurts us. Perhaps this pain is from a memory or an experience that we would rather forget. Maybe we even thought that we had forgotten it and that it no longer tormented us. Maybe we buried this experience so deeply that we thought it would never bother us again. Perhaps we tell the story in such a way that it is no longer hurtful. Maybe we repeat the experience with a laugh to cover up our pain.
I have found that even when the experience is not remembered
the emotions of the pain caused during that event are remembered.
The following story about a young sensitive girl named Katherine is an example of how we hide or bury our hurts and painful memories:
Katherine was sexually abused at a very early age. Her mother didn't know the reason Katherine's joy changed. She was
