About this ebook
Venus is a vampire causing trouble on Pluto for the Space Military and for Violet and former colonists. Fred must face her, but is afraid he may attack others. Antoni agrees to help even though he's in danger of shapeshifting into his unknown animal form. And to make matters worse, too many from the Space Military haven't been vaccinated for the plague which endangered Pluto and still exists.

No More Quarantine - Ali Noel Vyain
Chapter 1 In Orbit
Snowstorm approached Pluto and entered orbit. Captain Whitfield discovered a Space Military ship in orbit. He sighed as he wondered what it meant.
Captain, we are being hailed. It’s Fox.
Captain Whitfield let out a sigh of relief. On screen.
"Hello, Captain Whitfield and crew of Snowstorm. Is Violet on board your ship?"
Yes, she is and I know she would like to report on the failed colony here on Pluto. She hasn’t requested to go down to the planet as there could still be a live vampire down there.
Fox nodded. Violet is welcome to write about Pluto. Currently, we are monitoring the lone vampire on the planet. She doesn’t appear to be doing much of anything at the moment.
I see. And what of the quarantine?
The quarantine? I think it’s ridiculous to even consider it. However, if anyone does go down to the planet, they will need to get a vaccine first. I don’t see any reason to go down there when there’s a vampire still living there.
Understood. How’s your crew with this assignment?
They are getting restless. I think it’s partly boredom. There’s only one living being down there and she’s not doing much of anything. She’s already killed the colonists who didn’t flee when they had the chance.
Do you know if they tried to flee or just decided to stay?
From what we’ve gathered, some just didn’t understand the threat and thought they were safe to stay on the planet. We can see there was at least one family who understood the threat and got out as soon as they could.
So, the vampire is trapped down there.
Yes. There was one spaceship at the spaceport, but we destroyed it so she couldn’t leave. It was the safest thing we could do given the circumstances. I’m just glad there were people willing to cooperate with me. I know the Space Military doesn’t have that great of a reputation.
Captain Whitfield smiled. Well, I know it wasn’t you who created the bad reputation.
Please tell Violet, she may contact me for any reason. You may also if anything changes. Oh, and don’t land on the planet without contacting me first.
He nodded. Understood. We will contact you if we decide to land, although I doubt we will do so with a vampire on the planet.
Her image winked out and a view of the planet appeared on the screen. Captain Whitfield sent a brief message to Violet to let her know she could write about Pluto and ask Fox questions.
Violet and Antoni were in their quarters when they received the note.
Wonderful. Fox has granted me permission to write about Pluto and I can ask her anything about it.
"Good. So, what about the crew of Starlover?"
Oh, I have sent a message to them requesting interviews if they are willing.
She paused as she checked over her notes. I’m not sure they will answer. They could be busy right now. Or they may not want to talk about it at all.
How can you be so calm about them not wanting to talk?
Oh, I suppose I have plenty of old news stories and even some social media posts too. But interviews can be much better as it comes from first hand accounts. I’m just trying to be as thorough as a I can. It helps to fill out the story better.
What about the lone vampire on the planet?
I don’t know. I’m not sure when the last time she had any blood.
That would be a good question for Fox. I’m sure she would know the answer.
Yes. I wouldn’t be surprised if the vampire knows there are two ships in orbit. If she’s getting thirsty, she could lure some new prey to herself.
Antoni growled softly and low.
Whoa, deep breath. We are safe where we are for now.
He took a deep breath. He sighed. I don’t mind some vampires, but this one sounds quite dangerous from the research we’ve already done. I might transform if I have to face her.
Yeah, you could and then we would know what your animal form is.
He smiled at her. You want to see me in my animal form?
She nodded. I keep hoping you’d be a big cat I can cuddle up to.
He laughed. I don’t know if I’ll be a cat. I do think the big cat I used to see running around the farm was my dad.
She smiled. Well, perhaps you will be a cat someday.
They leaned towards each other and kissed.
Chapter 2 Quarantine is Moot
Fox studied new data. Any change on the planet?
No. Nothing at all. Still just one vampire and no one else alive down there.
Hmm. What is she doing? Do vampires hibernate? Or meditate?
Fox frowned.
No one could answer her because no one knew the answers.
Do we still have to monitor the vampire?
Fox looked up. Yes. She is dangerous. She has managed to wipe out an entire colony except the few who managed to flee in time.
"Can’t we
