Jo Ann Rufo
Jo Ann Bosworth Rufo is a retired school teacher of over 40 years. Through these years, she has witnessed wonderful victories and devastating tragedies. . She believes children do not have empty words and developed a listening ear to the needs of those around her. During this time, she observed the emotional hurts of children. The largest denominator of all of these hurts was being left out or being bullied. This led her to eating lunch daily in the classroom with her students which allowed her to watch the interactions of the children and see who needed help. Throughout her years of teaching, Mrs. Rufo decided that every child is a treasure and she made sure they left her classroom with this realization. These experiences led her to writing several books, this being the first. Jo Ann Bosworth Rufo is a graduate of Florida State University. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. She taught 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades in Brevard County and Santa Rosa County Florida. She has led various Bible studies and Sunday School classes to young and old alike. Being young at heart, she still spends much of her time encouraging and inspiring young minds. She believes that every child is a treasure and it is her desire to make sure each and every child knows it.
