    Recipes From The Grocery Store

Below are several recipes for cosmetic items that you can make with a trip to the grocery store.  The only ingredients you may have to order are fragrance oils or essential oils, which are optional.

    Goat's Milk and Honey Soap

    You will need:

    1 lb lard

    4 oz olive oil

    6 oz distilled water

    4 oz goat's milk

    1 tbsp honey

    2.7 oz lye

1 tbsp fragrance oil or essential oil (optional)

Step 1: Prepare your lye solution.

The temperature of your lye solution will heat to almost boiling as you do this.

    (a) Put the distilled water into a 2 cup Pyrex® glass or stainless steel measuring cup.

    (b) Place a plastic or stainless steel measuring cup on your scale. Reset your scale to zero.
