#1 When Adam Brown woke up on March 17, 2010, he didn’t know he would die that night in the Hindu Kush mountains of Afghanistan, but he was ready. He had written in his journal to both Nathan and Savannah, his ten-year-old son, a letter they weren’t meant to see unless the worst happened.
#2 In late 2009, intelligence agencies had been tracking a Taliban leader named Objective Lake James, who was planning to attack a US Army battalion that was preparing to relocate from its current position adjacent to the Pech River Valley. The valley was a deadly piece of real estate where insurgents could strike coalition forces and then retreat into their mountain strongholds.
#3 Adam’s reputation as a tough guy began long before he became a SEAL. He was always ready to jump into action, and he loved his home state of Arkansas.
#4 Larry Brown was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas, on February 5, 1974. He grew up with six siblings, all of whom were extremely close. His parents, Elmer and Rosa, were extremely loving and provided their children with everything they needed. They were extremely content.
