Trump landed in Moscow on November 8, and was greeted with much respect. He gave a brief welcoming speech, and when he was done, he thanked everyone for coming and received a standing ovation. He did not mention Greece or the European debt crisis in his speech or remarks.

Trump next went to the Miss Universe pageant in Crocus City Hall. He overrode the judges’ decisions and picked the contestants he wanted, and did not select any women of color.

On November 9, Trump showed up for the shoot, despite being needed for the last scene. Trump was told that Putin wanted to make amends, and that he would be sending a high-level emissary to the pageant.
