Hello, I'm Connor Whiteley, I am an 18-year-old who loves to write creatively, and I wrote my Brownsea trilogy when I was 14 years old after I went to Brownsea Island on a scout camp. I was invited to Prince Charles’ 70th birthday party and how some of us got in the royal photograph.Finally, I am going to university and I hope to get my doctorate in clinical psychology in a few years.

This was the day Mathew died.

Detective Sergeant Mathew Horne was not your sort of everyday senior cop that just loved to off-load work onto junior officers or other people below him. Most DSs loved doing that because it gave them more time to do paperwork, lunch with the higher-ups or simply because it made their lives easier.

Instead Mathew just loved investigating, solving crimes and helping people. Ever since he had been a teenager and read his first mystery book, watched his first police TV drama and solved who stole his lunch money, he had wanted to become a real cop.

And as he sat at his very comfortable desk in his own private office that was very well hidden at the back at the police station, he felt damn well proud to be a cop.

Sure there were plenty of drawbacks. Like the bad pay, rubbish coffee and the occasional injury on the job, but Mathew still wouldn’t have it any other
