Connor Whiteley

Hello, I'm Connor Whiteley, I am an 18-year-old who loves to write creatively, and I wrote my Brownsea trilogy when I was 14 years old after I went to Brownsea Island on a scout camp. At the camp, I started to think about how all the broken tiles and pottery got there and somehow a trilogy got created. Moreover, I love writing fantasy and sci-fi novels because you’re only limited by your imagination. In addition, I'm was an Explorer Scout and I love camping, sailing and other outdoor activities as well as cooking.Furthermore, I do quite a bit of charity work as well. For example: in early 2018 I was a part of a youth panel which was involved in creating a report with research to try and get government funding for organised youth groups and through this panel. I was invited to Prince Charles’ 70th birthday party and how some of us got in the royal photograph. Finally, I am going to university and I hope to get my doctorate in clinical psychology in a few years.

    Kavir Desert, Iran

British Intelligence Officer Adeline Zouch sat in a very uncomfortable and boiling hot seat of the top-secret military plane she was flying in over the desert in Iran. She hated being the only person in the long metal tube that the pilots called a hull and the deafening roar of the engines didn’t relax her.

Adeline even hated the horrible scents of burning oil, sweat and bitter coffee that filled the air in the hull. It was such a disgusting way to travel that Adeline really wanted this Queen-forsaken mission to just be over already.

Adeline had never liked Iran or the middle east very much. Sure she knew it was a very dangerous area but she had always loved playing against the Russians and Chinese, because they had great spies. And that was what being a spy was truly about, playing games against your enemies.

The Russian and Chinese were clever, evil and fascinating people that Adeline loved to hunt down and investigate. It was only last week she had been tracking down the former head of Chinese Intelligence who had gone rogue. And Adeline was sure the Chinese Government would deny this but it was just flat out funny to see the Chinese Ambassador beg the UK government to take him out.

That was probably the only time Adeline had ever seen the Chinese play by the international rules and not actually go rogue. It was impressive, scary and just funny all at the same time.

The deafening sound of the engines roar and thunder and pop deep into the desert made Adeline’s stomach tighten into a painful knot. The only reason why she was on the mission in the first place was because she hadn’t been given new missions yet and the Prime Minister
