Humiliated by my husband’s friend

My husband invited one of his oldest friends to have dinner with us. We hadn’t seen her once in the last six months. I didn’t even like her. She was arrogant and had this absurd idea that the world revolved around her.

She never made mistakes and she was never wrong. I got angry every time I had to hear her, or simply be in the same room as her. She also had a really loud voice. One of those voices that I could be across the room, and I would still hear her. It was quite annoying having her here, but my husband still liked her, and I didn’t want to be the type of wife that chooses his friends
