INTRODUCTION

I am Goddess Gaia, otherwise known as mother earth. This is a story of two of mine and my sisters two creations and how they became and the battle that has been in the prophecies for generations. Remember without darkness you cannot have light and without light you cannot have darkness.

One of light, one of dark, together are one to not part, through time and space, there is an evil that awaits, the one of light must decide, do not let the evil arise, in the end she shall win the fight but one more decision will suffice."

To wake from the slumber, one must reach the place of thunder, both shall fight, the of dark is also the one to bring back the light, one of dark needs to find their power, to bring back the light before her final hour.

Chapter 1

As I lay here motionless looking at the ceiling dreading another day, another party, I hate attending parties at other packs. I must deal with them to keep the allies we have obtained from the war 10 years ago. This year it is held by Marcus Matthews and Octavia Branson, Alpha, and chosen Luna of the Moon Ridge Pack, second strongest pack in this region. Marcus allied with us during the war and that is where he lost his mate. A few years later he chose Octavia as his chosen Mate. None of the packs have heard from him in five years so I made sure to open my schedule for this event least I could do for those who help us. The war changed a lot of people some for the better and some for the worse. It is hard to forget a day like that. I know I never will. I learned that you cannot trust people, love is for fools, blood does not make you family, and you can only truly count on yourself. ***Flashback*** Son they are here, it is time. Said my father with panic. Everyone to the borders, those who can't fight to the safe rooms. HURRY, I shouted to our pack through the mind link. As we ran to the border ready for battle my eyes must have been playing a cruel trick for what I saw stopped me dead in my tracks.

There stood my mate in the embrace of my cousin Mica, my best friend. Cat got your tongue Drayvon? Mica chuckled as he kissed my mate. How could you Rose, you're my mate? I tried to keep the sound of my heartbreak out of my voice. Oh Drayvon, you're a freak. Why would Goddess pair us I have no idea? Mica is a real Alpha, not you. She spat at me as she returned Mica's kiss. Everyone around us fighting as I stood there feeling the bond made between two souls shattering in my heart. The pain was unbearable. When a mate bond breaks most wolves die which without their wolf the human dies as well. As I looked around to the beginning of a massacre in my wake, I blocked out the pain. I was different and I was powerful I could not let this destroy me or my pack. I looked around for the two who caused this. When I laid my eyes on the redhead who broke our heart my wolf growled at her sight, my demon was running wild in my mind, Mica was removing his claws and k-9s from his latest victim. When they hit the ground, my heart shattered once again it was my mother. My father ran toward them to save his mate. Rose caught him in his leap to mother and she snapped his neck in one twist. I felt my fur breaking the skin and my demon coming out and at that moment everything went black. When I came to, I saw the few warriors they had left retreating in defeat I looked down to see myself covered in blood. When I shook off the shock, I noticed it was not mine for it was Rose's. I had killed the woman who killed my father, my mother, and started this frenzy. Mica must have gotten away. I would see him again, but for now, I must take care of the disaster they cause. ***Flashback Ended*** A lot of lives were lost that fateful day. I have made it my mission to protect my pack and those in need. I may be strict, but I will never be taken advantage of like that again.

Parklynn POV

Another Dreadful day. I think to myself as I let the icy water run down my hair and face soothing the pain beneath, Thank goddess for werewolf healing. The only thing that last is bruises, soreness, and if bones are broken, they heal faster than normal humans, but the pain is still awful. I do not know what is changed over the years. This pack is not as loving as it once was. My father is colder than ever. I know when it began. ***FLASHBACK*** I wait in this crowded room in fear, our families in battle. I am the only child of the Alpha, and Luna I could never imagine life without them. I am only fourteen years old. Our pack is the second strongest, but it still does not ease the fear. Please Goddess bring them home safe, bring them all home please. I prayed to the goddess our creator. As I stood there holding some children in fear as their mothers gossiped for, they were used to this, I do not think I could ever get used to this. Finally, the lights came on and the doors opened, everyone exiting to find their loved ones. Once I exited, I frantically looked for my parents. As I turned into the Alpha's office my father turned to me with tears in his eyes. No father where she is. Where's mother? I stuttered scared to know what I could already feel in the pit of my stomach. Parklynn, she's gone. Your mother, my wife, my mate is gone. He said with sadness laced in his voice. As my father hugged me tears fell from my eyes like rain in a storm. So many emotions brewing. Why her why my mother. She was the greatest woman on earth. I slept in her study that night and many nights after. ***FLASHBACK ENDED***

Things were decent for a couple of years. Then Dad met Octavia Branson. At first, it was nice to see dad smiling again and back to his normal self, she was always nice to him, but me not so much. She never really talked to me and always made sure to keep me away from my father. I quit training and went into a depression never really leaving mom's study, that soon became my room. Dad began getting more distant not wanting anything to do with me, maybe because I reminded him of my mother. I do not know but I began fading in the background. He then got engaged to Octavia, after their wedding, she convinced him to demote me to the Omega Slave. Meaning I was now the slave to all in the packhouse, they came first I had to put everyone before myself. I do not know if dad knew about the beatings, but he never really did pay attention to all the bruises. I was not ever allowed to have friends. Octavia ruled this home she was never really a Luna. She was so greedy and conceited. I finally gave up wanting to be heard. I finally gave up for wanting and waiting for a mate. I mean it has been ten years since my mothers' death and eight years since I became age to find my mate and transform. My wolf is beautiful, but we do not shift much due to always being locked away.
