This new volume, “Patterns of Existence,” deals with all of the above and more, but at the advanced level of comprehension of The Larger World. The intent of this series is to be a concise source of research and explanation to an area that has eluded description for centuries. This book is dedicated to Hermes Trismegistus, or Thrice-Great Hermes, who is considered the Father of Alchemy.

One of the guiding principles of alchemy was the transmutation of elements for the advancement of mankind, some 2,000 years before the mechanisms of transmutation were discovered.  His symbols depicting the foundation of Alchemy, the first science, illustrate how every shape in the known universe, can be derived from their simplicity.  I wonder what our sciences would look like today, if not for him.

PREFACE

This is the third volume of the series called The Larger World.  The first in the set, entitled Beyond the Astral Planes, is this subject’s version of how to become a traveler, and deals with the beginnings of the knowledge.  Book two is a much more in depth look at the information stated in book one, and becomes the intermediate level of the learning entitled, Threshold of Perception. It is followed by this volume, Patterns of Existence, which deals with all of the above and more, but at the advanced level of comprehension.  Beyond them, I also wrote the companion book, The Altar Shields. 

Each of these works is capable of being read individually with little or no loss of cohesiveness or clarity, but when cross referenced together, they form a detailed if not complicated picture of the area from which the series found its name; The Larger World.

These publications are unique from others in that detail, philosophy, and theology are represented as equals, necessary to the final outcome of the potential traveler.  The unity these concepts are capable of achieving make the Larger World both a safe and enlightening place to grow within.  Without them the areas of exploration become dangerous and confusing, therefore I will stress the merging qualities of these factors frequently throughout the books.

This book has been laid out in conjunction with the thirteen forces of the universe and hopefully will show how all the techniques, procedures, and theological implications have many things in common.  As in the previous two works, all the information can be cross referenced both as a separate unit, and in conjunction with the other volumes. The books can stand alone but should be read chronologically if your knowledge of the subject does not equal the first volume of the series.  In each book, a table of contents and a glossary have been provided for easy location of terms as well as referencing from book to book.  Also, several illustrations have been duplicated in every installment for easy access within the book being read at that time.  Between the four books, a full set of charts can be found, and virtually nothing known has been omitted. 

So many diverse subjects have been covered that few people will have had in depth training in them all, but reference books on all the related topics can be found at any public library or bookstore.  I have, however, provided in as many cases as possible, a background in these subjects, but a closer look may be necessary for a more complete understanding. 

Other things that the proposed student might find invaluable are a color wheel and a keyboard capable of being tuned to A-432 and A-437, but they are not absolutely mandatory to ultimate success in this learning.

To keep confusion to a minimum, I will reiterate the need to approach this knowledge with the object of association.  No matter how technical the information is presented, the bottom line is still in the ability to find the associative between the first five senses as controlled by the sixth.  If nothing else, it keeps the goal in sight and prohibits the technical aspects from over-shadowing the reason for our endeavors in the first place.  We are all but human, and consequently we must not lose sight of the emotional qualities being explored in our enthusiasm for total disclosure.  There is as much feeling to this learning as there is intellect, and by necessity we must keep the two operating as equals for the knowledge to be complete.

Finally, I urge you to keep a journal delineating everything you have learned along the way.  Save your thoughts, because somewhere down your path it may save another person from making the same mistakes.  There is no future in the constant re-invention of the wheel, and remember that learning comes in two halves, the discovery…and the giving away.  Neither one is of less importance, while both are mandatory to your success.  Before spending an inordinate amount of time with these studies, I urge you to pause, take a deep breath, and ask yourself why you want to learn about the relationship between mankind and the universe.  If you are satisfied with the answer, then welcome to the Larger World. 

Last, but certainly not least…if these books have helped anyone to find a stronger and better self, then I can finally stop holding my breath.

INTRODUCTION

In the year 1970 I learned of the Larger World and its ramifications from a man known only as Pilot.  His tutelage helped me to see the full impact of what he referred to as the Tesseract and the individual mosaic tiles that comprise each one of our lives.  Within the framework of reality as we understand it, are several different realms that are negotiable through certain techniques that Pilot taught me over a period of years.  These realms imply the certainty of afterlife as well as enormous amounts of personal freedom that we can experience throughout our lives.  Pilot showed me the various aspects of energy and the connections between people and all living things.  Further, he illustrated the bond that we as children of God share amid the chaos of our day-to-day existence.  He stressed the importance of our triple segmented condition and the similarities of each individual realm.  Since we live at the level he referred to as zero and must endure the materialistic chronological grind, he spent a rather large amount of time drilling me in the nuances of the others.

There are three areas in which all people can successfully travel.  Each of these areas conform with the three segments of the human condition and ultimately dictate which is operating in the conscious mode.  The physical unit is for the most part locked at the region known as Level Zero, the spirit is bound to the Astral Planes, and the soul is the traveling segment while in the Alternate States of Reality.  Although there are exceptions to this rule, the above stated configuration will be standard in all situations unless forcibly altered at the incept.  These differences will be covered in the appropriate sections of the text as the disclosure unfolds.  The physical world is based on oxygen, hydrogen and nitrogen with a multitude of companion gases to compliment them, while the Astral Planes are governed by the presence of Ether, and the Alternate States of Reality is reliant on the substance known as Ozone.  In each case the realm delivers the necessary elements needed by the segment operating within its confines.  The physical requires an atmosphere, gravity and a reasonably stable set of environmental limits.  The Astral Planes, a massless medium produces Ether and the electromagnetism needed to promote the spirit body and the Alternate States of Reality radiates Ozone and the properties of pure light needed to further the phenomenon known as the soul.

This volume, like its predecessors, deals only with these areas and their counterparts and the focus is understandably limited in its scope.  I will however stress the need to associate any and all of these concepts with the individual studying and his or her respective differences.  Like fingerprints, each of us is uniquely different in our approach and yet maintain the ability to interpret data perceived in the areas traveled.

Reaching the astral is done by projecting the spirit body and the soul outside of the physical body while still connected by a line called the umbilical cord.  To reach the Alternate States of Reality pre-assumes another projection while in the Astral Planes and accomplishes these tasks by remaining attached via an anomaly known as the tendril.  In this state, the person is strung out in a line which starts with the physical body, continues on to the astral, or spirit body and ends with the soul.  Each of these segments remains in its respective areas while the traveler extends his/her boundaries of perception, and typically the last segment has the person's consciousness.  During the time the traveler has projected into the Alternate States of Reality, the previous two sections of the human condition are virtually without cognizant awareness and wait patiently until the reunification of the segments when the traveler has returned home.  In any trip that does not extend beyond the Astral Planes, the soul is firmly entrenched within the spirit body and not the physical, as previously believed.  This is important because of the relative vulnerability of the physical body while the traveler is away.  It is subject to environmental changes or natural disasters, but not prone to attack from unworldly origins.  It has not been proven effective to attempt such psychic attacks due to the lack of animation possible while vacated.  The real problem has always been where the spirit or soul resides, and in the case of Astral Traveling, they are not only the conscious segments, but also the source of the life force.  That is the magnet that pulls entities or ground based spirits toward the traveler.  The obvious answer to the dilemma is to will yourself back to the body immediately if this occurs.

Subtle variances become apparent after repeated sojourns out of the body. This third and final volume of the Larger World has been dedicated to those subtleties.  They make the results more impactful as well as less time consuming, but most importantly, they show the relative ease in which the Larger World becomes as second nature to the Traveler as breathing.

CHAPTER 1 ALPHA – (CREATION)

According to the dictionary, Alpha was derived from the Phoenician and Hebrew letter aleph  - being an ox or leader.  In English, the noun Alpha is used as a synonym for beginning or first (in a series) and reflects its Greek roots.

Alpha signifies the first of two forces portrayed or indicated within the Chamber of the Altars but not found within the known thirteen.  It is also one of the two forces unattainable by Travelers.  It is generally believed by the traveling community that it is the force by which the first power or creation is achieved.  It points toward the first of many particles and sub-particles that work in conjunction with the second through fourteenth altars and is tied in some way to the fifteenth altar or Omega.

Viewed from the Chamber of the Altars there are two obvious locations where the stones could have been placed, but mysteriously remain unoccupied.  Philosophically it is a natural progression that leads to known ideas including free will, loyalty, and faith.  Theologically it is corroborated by the Old and New Testaments as the description of the Creator, God the Father, otherwise known as the First Element of the First Trinity. Like the remaining elements and trinities, this First Element is the representation of the energy that is prevalent throughout the universe.

It has been previously determined that energy cannot be destroyed, and it is this unattainable force (Alpha) that allows this constant to remain true.  It is somehow indelibly linked with its counterpart, Omega, which is discussed later within this text.  Due to its placement within the known Elementals and its Ionic Alchemic nature, it deals exclusively with pure energy and would then have a movement factor equaling to or exceeding that of light.

Since we have virtually no known way of monitoring this obscure force or understanding it beyond that of logical speculation, it is thought of as a spectral dilation and probably encompasses the entire light spectrum from invisible to invisible. It has been called the Bridge or Rainbow Force.  It has also been defined as the first half of a circle, which is made complete by adding the fifteenth or last force, Omega.

From a purely religious point of view, this force has been identified and followed over three thousand years and has been largely confused with superstition for most of that time.  The early interpreters of the Bible had no real understanding for science or technologically based conceptual thought, and translated the ideas brought to their collective consciousness in the only manner they had at their disposal for that day and age.  Bear in mind that there were consequences for heretical thought during that time, and a number of ritualistic practices already existed when the first of the monotheistic religions came into being.  Over the next several centuries, the concept of a single creating force or Godly being evolved into primarily what we have today, with the introduction of science as its relative.  Unfortunately, the two ideas, Theology and Science, took different paths and have been at odds with each other since the incept of both.

The examination of the altars will show the obvious correlations between the two and how they interact from moment to moment.  Further, it will hopefully decrease the level of misunderstanding between the two different communities and help them to find a new approach that will enhance them both.

The Elements are broken down in each case into three categories: The Physical, the Spirit, and the Soul or pure energy.  The First Element, Alpha, is the energy segment of this trinity and will be fused with the next two chapters which cover the spiritual and physical aspects of the previously stated energy.

It is doubtful we will ever harness the force of Alpha or Omega, but there are factors of understanding that I believe will come to light giving us a better level of comprehension for the first altar.  Further, I believe it may give us considerable information about the thirteen forces and improve our knowledge of the universe.

CHAPTER 2 – PRIMARY EQUATIONS
