About this ebook

Please note: This is a companion version & not the original book.

#1 I had become used to the smell of my own bucket, and I didn’t notice the outside air any more than I noticed the air inside my room. I was only aware that the air outside my house was different, thinner, and crisper.

#2 I had a very difficult time dealing with my mother’s criticism. She would constantly tell me how ugly I was, and that no man would ever want me. I had a difficult time understanding why she was so mean to me.

#3 I had never seen my mother afraid before, and when I did, it was a sight that terrified me. I had asked for it, and deserved it. I was sorry, and when my mother went back down the stairs, I cried out that I was sorry.

    Insights from Chapter 2

    #1

I loved how my mother named me Tuesday after the actress Tuesday Weld. I was born on a Tuesday, and my mother thought it was a sign. I loved my name. I was named after the beautiful actress from the sixties, Tuesday Weld.

    #2

I was afraid of getting into trouble, so I let loose my dog, Jacque, who ran into the road and was hit by a car. I dove to catch him, but he dodged away from me. I was determined to catch him, though, and I eventually did.

I wanted what had happened to Jacque to happen to Audrey. I knew it wasn’t likely Audrey would be hit by a car, but I wanted her to die, somehow, and for someone to take her body away.
