Introduction
Enjoy the reading.
To you who are reading this preface I want to say that my intent is to make your life more interesting, satisfying and full.
For some years I have had the desire to write this essay. A "little essay" on what really matters.
An episode that happened to me some time ago made me think and I decided to put on paper what you are about to read.
I was in a (Catholic) church and I was expecting to speak with an elderly priest, a splendid person who, despite having just celebrated Holy Mass and had many practical things to attend to, had immediately declared himself available for an interview with me (unknown) if I had waited five minutes for him. Waiting, I looked around. The organist began to rehearse the songs for the following celebration. People began to take their places in the benches arriving in dribs and drabs. Having some back pain I sat down. There was a row of empty chairs near the sacristy, where I believe the choristers would have sat shortly thereafter but at the moment they had not yet arrived. Immediately a lady who together with the organist was deciding the songs to be performed came up to me and she said to me: that chair is occupied and my husband is near!
I got up without saying anything and stood by the organ waiting for the don
.
Given the context, one could reasonably expect a different welcome, perhaps a greeting ... yet the lady who was preparing to animate a Holy Mass did not realize that she was in front of a person (moreover with a rather annoying back pain). Parish matters had absorbed her so much that she forgot the most important thing ...
... Therefore, I will give you my life experience, my research, reflections and my studies on the most important thing.
