English dress

PANDIT GOPINATH WAS the principal of the government elementary school in the village of Konch. He was sitting in his room at school going over the correspondence file. He was alarmed by a letter from the school inspector's office. The letter stated that the school inspection date was May 10. May had just begun, and it was scorching. That date was five. Also, it instructed the school staff to wear the English dress during the inspection.

Wearing pants was an arduous task for Panditji. He recalled the incident in his marriage. . On his wedding day, his friends forced him to wear a suit. Somehow, he wore the coat. . He stumbled two or three times while wearing his pants. A friend helped him get his trousers on. . But he found it quite uncomfortable. He couldn't even walk properly. He performed a few important rituals, gave up the suit, and came in his native dress. A unique silk Kurta dhoti was ordered for the wedding.

He was immersed in all these thoughts when Vice Principal Mangal Mishra called from the door, Can I come in.

Gopinath said, Come on, Mishra Ji. The administration does not fail to show who is ruling us.

Mishraji inquired, Why? What has happened?"
