About this ebook
My dearest Littleones,
Hello! Although I have written more than fifty books for you on various topics such as short stories, songs, drama, science, computer, this is my first children's novel. I am very happy that this children's novel "Kannan Vazhi Gandhi Vazhi" has come out so well.
One day, while speaking, Mr.P.Venkatraman, a children's literature activist, said, “This year is the 150th birthday of Mahatma Gandhi. So you should write a children's book about him. ” While thinking about it, I suddenly had the idea of writing a novel that would impart the non-violent views of the Mahatma on the minds of today’s children. The title Kannan Vazhi Gandhi Vazhi also came to mind. I started the work immediately. I finished writing this novel in fifteen days.

A masterpiece that enriches achild’s contemplation
The prosperity and development of a country depends on many factors. One among them is the progress of the children. As the children’s poet Azha.Valliyappa said, Individuals who carry the books today are the leaders who will safeguard the country tomorrow.
It is our prime responsibility and need of the hour to help them get transformed into individuals with great personality. It is literature that refines and nurtures children, just like how the fertilizer and water care for a growing crop.
Somehow, there are not many books that enrich children's thinking as there are books in other fields. In order to fill this gap, writer R.V.Pathy has created a wonderful novel titled Kannan Vazhi Gandhi Vazhi
and has added diamond to the crown.
October 2, 2019 is the 150th birthday of Gandhiji. The whole world takes pride in celebrating this. In this situation, the author has created this novel with the aim of seeding Gandhiji's ideas in the fields of youth’s heart. I appreciate him first for that.
Kannan is a ninth grade student. The story slowly spins and spins and rises up above like a colorful kite. Gandhiji's autobiography My experiments with truth
is a gift from a relative on his birthday. After reading the book, Kannan in his mind, determines to lead a useful life, both adhering to the truth and in a non-violent way, just like Gandhiji. Accordingly, R.V.Pathy has created a wonderful novel in which Kannan lives and gradually rises and excels as a district collector.
The novel spreads and fans out in fifteen chapters like a creeper. The author has designed the story in such a way that it narrates the ordeals of a student who follows Gandhiji's principles, how he faces problems throughout his life and how he manages to find solutions and move forward. Although imaginative, the weaving of the story with incidents in line with day to day’s practices draws reader’s attention towards it. The author has narrated how Kannan was able to bring changes in the minds of the students, teachers and his father in a natural accent.
The Headmaster, who respects and implements Kannan's ideas, is a wonderful example for good teachers. Plans such as using the money collected in the school for good deeds and starting a Gandhi Honesty Shop
to inculcate high morals in the students can still be implemented in schools today. It will pave way for good outcomes.
The author gracefully explains through special situations how Kannan fights bravely for justice without fear through honest means. Kannan's activities such as helping the old woman and clearing the pond are good motivation to do selfless help.
It is a little exaggerated to say that the drunkard fell at the teacher's feet and apologized. The question
