Pandit Gopinath was the headmaster of the Government Primary School in Konch village. In school, he was sitting in his room looking at the correspondence file. He got worried after reading an administrative letter. The month of May had started and it was getting very hot. That day was the 5th. There was information in the letter that there would be an inspection of the school on the coming 10th and the advice was that all the teaching staff should wear an English dress on that day.

Wearing trousers was a very difficult task for Panditji. He remembered the incident of his marriage. At the time of his marriage, his friends forced him to wear a suit. Somehow he put on the coat. He stumbled a couple of times while wearing the pants. A friend helped him put on his pants. But he was not able to walk properly. He performed a few important rituals and gave up the coat-pants and came in his native dress. A special silk Kurta dhoti was ordered for the wedding.

He was immersed in all these thoughts when Vice Principal Mangal Mishra called from the door, Can I come in.

Gopinath said, Come on, Mishra Ji. The administration does not fail to show who is ruling us.

    Mishraji asked, Why? What happened.

Gopinath gave him the file and asked him to read the letter.

Mishraji read out the letter and said, You get nervous quickly. It is only for a day. But for a few hours. He had neither problem nor hesitation in wearing a coat-pant.

Mishraji further said to please him, You will look great in a suit. Inspector Sahib will be happy.
