    Living off the grid

    When thinking about living off the grid, a lot of people still get cold sweats. Just the thought of buying a property, building a house, collecting water from a nearby river or digging a well, generating their own power systems, usually with solar panels and/or wind generators, growing their own food, etc, is enough to put off most people who still rely heavily on electricity and easy access to food via shops or supermarkets.

    The best thing about the floating home is that it provides all the advantages of living off the grid in the sense of wellbeing, freedom, autonomy, minimal environmental damage, since they are 100% eco-friendly, and dramatically reduces the cost of living, and one can also easily access local markets to provide for food or any other thing needed.

    There is also no need to incur in the expenses of buying a property or paperwork and permits involve in building a house.

    Having been a sailor for most of my life, I am used to live a simple life off the grid and out of my comfort zone since I keep moving around the world with my boat and I try to anchor as much as possible instead of going into marinas.
