About this ebook

Please note: This is a companion version & not the original book.

#1 I began working with Tony, and my life changed dramatically. I was no longer behind the camera, but struggling to articulate my own story. I had too many memories to remember, and I spent almost all of my waking hours silently reliving them.

#2 Tony was the host of CNN’s Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown. He was a friend and mentor to many of the show’s crew members, and his death was shocking.

#3 I would eventually work my way up the ladder and produce and direct nearly 100 episodes of TV with Tony. I spent my entire adult life working on the four incarnations of Tony’s ever-evolving travelogue.

#4 The job of a travel director was to make sure the show was taken around the world by mechanical tornado. Each year, the production team would be followed by government minders in communist countries and harassed by tourism boards in others.
