An adorable princess. A new family. A world waiting to be conquered.

Amelia Priscilla Lux Vios Rahel was determined to take over the world. Her unwavering determination had led her to save Kais's brother and change a pivotal plot point. Despite this success, however, danger still looms on the horizon, and the only way to eliminate it for good is through total world domination.

Unfortunately, Amelia's desire to achieve this feat is not taken seriously, given her tender age of six. Though she is doted on and indulged, her servants and family view her lofty ambitions as nothing more than a child's fanciful daydreams.

Nevertheless, Amelia remains steadfast in her conviction. As she navigates the challenges of life as a little princess while hatching plots to achieve her goal, she encounters Duchess Arianne Noichrome, Miltiades's estranged sister and Amelia's second favorite character. Amidst schemes and conspiracies, reconnecting family and new friends, this little princess must pave her way toward a brighter future.

For the sake of their favorite characters, true fans are prepared to sacrifice everything.

ACT 7: CONQUER THE WORLD THROUGH CUTENESS

W hat are you going to do with these people?

I smirked. Then, I took up my best villain voice. Why, I’m going to conquer the world, of course!

That’s amazing, Luciana replied, applauding my aspiration to conquer the world.

What, that’s it? I spent a lot of time deliberating over this, but she acted like she was listening to the fanciful daydreams of a six-year-old. Well, it was true that I was only six-years-old.

Dissatisfied with Luciana’s lukewarm response, I started declaring my ambitions to other people, saying, Did you know that my dream is to conquer the world? My question elicited chuckles from my maids.

Aww, it’ll be easy for you!

You’ve already done it!

That’s right... with your cuteness!

Their reactions left me speechless. I really would do it! This was so unfair. Why wasn’t anyone taking my words seriously? But the more I insisted I’d follow through with my plans, the more my maids cajoled me.

Yes, yes. Of course, our princess can conquer the world.

We’ll help you.

That’s right, just tell us what to do!

When I pursed my lips and pouted, the maids cooed over my puffed cheeks and said, How are you so cute even when you’re upset? I bet His Majesty would hand over the world for your squishy cheeks!

As ridiculous as it sounded, I wouldn’t put it past Miltiades to offer up the world to me on a silver platter, but that wasn’t what I was aiming for. I was setting out to conquer the world in order to save my favorite character!

Dejected, I looked at Margaret. She was the only one who had yet to laugh at my dreams. Margaret was different, right? Gazing into my sparkling eyes, she chose her words carefully and said, It’s good to aspire towardhigher goals.

Oh! How the world had forsaken me. Ludwig’s reaction was only marginally better than the maids. After I told him my plans, he suddenly stood up with the holy sword in his hands and announced that he had to train more. When I asked why, he explained, If you want a war, I must deliver you a victory!

Stop it, I grumbled. Even his response was frustrating. Was he also messing with me?

Meanwhile, the scale of Miltiades’ response after hearing what I had to say was overwhelming. Where should I start my conquest? he asked. Wait just a minute! I certainly didn’t need him to do that for me!

Callian, who was listening in on our conversation, also dropped down on one knee and said, I, Callian, swear to do anything in my power to help you achieve your goals. Hey, I don’t need your help either!

Half of the detached palace had been damaged in the incident, so Miltiades arranged for me to stay in the imperial palace until I recovered. I was elated by this arrangement, and secretly hoped for a slower recovery so that I could remain with him as long as possible.

It seems like the Northern Tower has dispatched a magician to come fix the problem with the barrier.

A magician?

I also heard the Vatican will be sending over a delegation!

I unexpectedly heard some bad news when I listened to the maids’ chatter, but at least the magician’s arrival was something worth looking forward to. It might be a good opportunity to get rid of Kais’ subjugation seal. Who knew whether that crazy magician might reappear someday and attempt to run off with Kais?

In the novel, after Miltiades refused Kais’ request for help, the male lead disappeared from the storyline only to reappear much later in the plot. But Kais was here now in Helsarose, which meant the plot had changed, likely due to my influence. Since I couldn’t be sure when or where the magician might reappear, I couldn’t afford to sit idly by and let Kais be taken without at least taking some preventative measures. The first item on the agenda was to find a way to remove Kais’ subjugation seal before something like this occurred again.

Still, that was easier said than done. I felt pity for all the hardships Kais had to endure. This is why the male lead is who he is; as the protagonist, he is naturally fated to face countless obstacles. The least I could do was help find a way to protect him.

"How upsetting... Ah, my plans to give him a happy life

Wiping away a tear, I made up my mind.

I will save Kais!

When Amelia burst into his room and looked at him with a sad expression, that was the first-time Kais saw her since his kidnapping. She looked healthy.

While she was still unconscious, Emperor Miltiades had paid him a visit. Despite the attendants’ best efforts to hold the emperor back, Miltiades stormed in looking as if he would destroy everything standing in his path. If she doesn’t wake up in one week, you and your brother are doomed, he had warned.

In spite of the emperor’s threat, the foremost concern on Kais’ mind was Amelia’s condition, rather than his or his brother’s life. Though his memories of that day had been wiped clean, he still vividly recalled Amelia’s voice calling out to him. It made no sense: why would a master go in search of her slave? It was the first time he’d encountered a master like her.

Kais. A sweet voice broke him out from his reverie, and he looked up. He saw flowers that only bloomed in the eyes of those possessing strong divine power—whenever he caught a glimpse of these eyes, he felt the urge to divulge his innermost thoughts. In fact, he wanted to do so at this very moment.

Kais, the voice repeated, do you want to become stronger?

He found it difficult to answer her question.

I’ll make you stronger, Amelia continued, as if reading his mind.

So, Your Highness... Berrict, an impressive middle-aged man with gray hair, laughed gazing down at me, you wanted to meet me?

Yep! I grinned. That’s right! This is the place I’d been looking for: Berrict’s office. Unlike Callian, the captain of the guards, Berrict was captain of the border security forces, so it was difficult to meet with him. It’d been a while since I last saw him. For someone like me, whose preferences were middle-aged men, Berrict was my ideal type. He was amazing!

Oho! But why are you looking for me? You have Callian, Berrict laughed awkwardly.

I looked up at him with a sad expression and asked, Am I a bother to you?

No, of course not.

Really?

I heard you’re shy around strangers...

Yeah, I am! I quickly laughed and fidgeted, while nodding vigorously. It’s just that you’re not a stranger, Berrict. I like you.

I peeked out at him from under my eyelashes and waited to see how he’d react. Was he going to push me away? When Berrict let out a hearty laugh in response, I grinned even wider, as if playing along with him. I was a cutie, right?

"Ho-ho, I can see why His Majesty is smitten with you," Berrict said with a smile, in a kind grandfatherly way.

That’s because I’m the greatest!

But why did you want to meet me?

Ah, we were finally getting to the point! What I want is... I looked straight into Berrict’s eyes and began recapping everything that had transpired. When I was done, Berrict gestured to Kais, who was standing behind me motionlessly, like a sack of hay.

Hurry and greet him, I whispered loudly, giving the boy a jab.

Kais bobbed his head in greeting, and I worried over whether he’d be rejected for his poor etiquette. I put in so much effort to get this opportunity, but the male lead was not helping at all!

Ah, it’s that child.

Huh? Do you remember him?

It’s hard to forget such talent. There aren’t many youngsters out there who can hold their own for so long against His Majesty.

It seemed that having Kais go up against Miltiades had been worthwhile. Even though quite some time had passed, the short bout had left a good enough impression on Berrict that he still remembered Kais. Everything was going according to plan. It would be a piece of cake now!

I quickly hung onto Berrict and coaxed, Berrict, don’t you want a disciple?

A disciple?

I brought you a fresh disciple right here. What do you think? When I pointed at Kais, he stared back at me incredulously.

Of course, my plan was to make Kais stronger by finding him an incredible instructor! In the novel, Kais’ skills were purely self-taught. After overcoming many crises and battles, he became an undefeatable monster in his own right. To be honest, I didn’t want to raise him to that level. The stronger he became, the easier it would be for him to defeat my dad. I’d much rather Kais live a simple life, but sadly I knew that wasn’t an option for him as the male lead.

Hm? So, what do you say? I gazed up expectantly at Berrict.

A disciple... now that I think about it, I have reached the age where I should think about taking one on, he said, regarding Kais with warmth in his eyes.

Yeah! You’re at the perfect age! But you can’t retire yet! While praising him, I made sure to emphasize he couldn’t leave. There was no way I’d allow any of the Four Knights to leave!

"Ho-ho, is Your Highness trying to prevent my retirement already?"

Of course! You’re so handsome and strong. You have to serve my dad for a long time, I replied. After all, no one had a better personality than Berrict.

You must really like His Majesty, Berrict chuckled.

Of course I do! Out of everyone in this world, I was probably the one that loved my dad the most. That’s why I had to sell Kais to Berrict at any cost. Putting on my best telemarketer voice, I laid it on thick, and bragged about all of Kais’ positives. So, how do you feel about a fresh, healthy, talented disciple who’s a quick learner? This is your only chance, you know!

Berrict seemed to be mulling over the decision, but I knew I had him hooked. If he truly had no interest, he would’ve ended this conversation a long time ago. In the novel, Berrict met his end on the battlefield without a successor to carry on his legacy, which proved to be a huge regret for him. Having a pupil he could pass his skills and knowledge onto wasn’t a bad proposal for him either!

But Your Highness, may I ask one thing?

Sure, what is it?

Why did you come to me? Berrict’s gaze suddenly cooled. His Majesty has many knights, including Callian. His Majesty is also an excellent knight himself. I’m curious as to why you came to me when you could’ve asked the other two.

Was this sudden question some sort of test? Even though Berrict was still smiling, the atmosphere in the room seemed to have cooled by several degrees. I felt like his experienced gaze was piercing right through me, and I realized he wouldn’t be fooled by whatever I said, so I had to give a direct answer.

Berrict’s question actually made a lot of sense, but my answer was the same right from the start. You’re the best choice, I replied simply. Neither Daddy nor Callian can do it.

Kais was a diamond in the rough, but that also meant he was rough around the edges. Scarred by the traumas he’d endured, he closed himself off from others as a form of self-preservation. He lived each day unsure when he might fall and finally break. For such a boy, Miltiades, who didn’t understand how to love, would only hurt him. As for Callian, he could never come to understand Kais because the lives they led were vastly different experiences. Kais would become stronger just by breathing—that’s the power of being the male lead. Someone who could just make him strong wasn’t what Kais needed the most; rather, he needed a steady hand that could guide and support him. Berrict was the only adult who could do that. That was a quality more precious than pure strength.

It has to be you, I repeated. I looked into Berrict’s blue eyes, full of experienced wisdom and said a silent prayer.

You know what’s important to you. It looks like His Majesty has gained a wonderful daughter, Berrict eventually said, breaking into a smile.

A wave of relief washed over me. Yep! I happily nodded.

Please take care of His Majesty.

I should be the one saying that... I said shyly, glancing back at Kais before turning to Berrict, Take care of Kais, Berrict.

Kais looked at us in disgust, but he didn’t have a choice in the matter from the start.

Oh, I have to tell you something, I said, gesturing for Berrict to lean in close. In a hushed whisper, I told him the most crucial thing to remember: the male lead had the mental strength of a cracker.

After safely handing Kais over to Berrict, I returned to the palace. When I arrived, I was confused to find the maids nervously searching the grounds.

Your Highness!

Where’ve you been?

Please hurry!

I was puzzled by the urgency in their voices. What happened? Did you guys miss me that much?

Oh, Your Highness. Of course, we did!

No, but...!

His Majesty is here right now!

Daddy?! I grinned and ran into the room. The maids were yelling something after me but I couldn’t hear them in my haste to see my favorite character. However, as soon as I entered the room, I felt something was off and abruptly stopped in my tracks. What was with the uncomfortable atmosphere?

Miltiades was sitting in a chair with his eyes closed and releasing a foreboding energy, while Callian stood next to him. The Grand Chamberlain and my knights all had their heads stuck to the ground.

Your Highness! The maids rushed in behind me, but they all clammed up when they took in the scene.

I turned to look at Mia with wide eyes, but she only shook her head. Then, Miltiades opened his eyes.

Amelia.

Hm?

Where did you run off to?

Uh… I took a walk? I wasn’t sure if it’d be ok to tell the truth. If I misspoke, Kais might end up in trouble.

A walk… Miltiades had a slight, knowing smile on his face. I knew that look. He only smiled like that when he was angry.

I took a walk and visited Kais.

The tension in the air dissipated slightly when Miltiades heard me speak the truth, but the smile still lingered.

You were hurt because of that bastard, and yet you went to see him?

But I’m totally fine!

I beamed with the widest smile I could muster, but Miltiades wasn’t buying it. I didn’t understand why he was in such a foul mood. This felt like a bad sign, and the others in the room seemed to agree. If things continued on like this, something bad was bound to happen. Seeing Callian’s helpless expression and Margaret’s trembling figure, I quickly decided on my next action.

Daddy, I missed you! I ran over and gave him a bear hug. The tension around him seemed to subside a little more. Wow, he hadn’t tired of seeing me every day? Wasn’t there a saying that people would even tire of a beautiful face if they stared at it for three months straight?

I feel so bad for those who’ve never had the chance to see you. Everyone should bear witness to your beauty! How have they not witnessed God’s greatest masterpiece? I gushed.

I was so emotional that tears formed in my eyes. It’d been a while since I saw Miltiades at a loss with how to deal with me.

Daddy!

What? he asked.

Thank you for being born!

Miltiades sighed deeply and then smiled in defeat. All traces of his anger had disappeared, and I giggled happily. Callian flashed me a thumbs up from behind the emperor. As I hugged Miltiades, I became curious about the men with their heads pressed against the floor.

Why are the Grand Chamberlain and my knights down on the floor like that?

They’re being punished, Callian replied.

Huh? What for?

For not protecting you, Miltiades said dryly.

The unexpected response made me tilt my head. But why should they protect me? I asked.

Miltiades merely laughed, like he hadn’t taken my question seriously. The Grand Chamberlain had lamented that his head would roll if I left the room, but I thought that was just an over exaggeration. Turns out it might’ve been true. I did think that Miltiades was being a tad overprotective since the accident.

Thinking I should do something to help the poor men, I announced, Daddy, I’m hungry!

You’re hungry?

Let’s go eat something yummy for dinner!

Thankfully, it was about time for dinner anyway. I tugged at Miltiades’ arm and he picked me up. I hurriedly gestured for the men to get up, and a look of gratitude washed over their faces.

We’ll only trust in Your Highness! they declared. It seemed that I’d just earned some newfound respect.

...So, I told Berrict to take care of Kais, I said, recounting what happened earlier to Miltiades over dinner. Surprisingly, his reaction was rather underwhelming, if you ignored the fact that he’d managed to snap the silverware in his hands. Was that even humanly possible?

Did Berrict agree to take on a disciple?

Hm? Nope. I shook my head. It would’ve been nice if he’d accepted Kais as a disciple on the spot, but Berrict was a serious person. Berrict said he’d test Kais’ worthiness first. If Kais doesn’t pass, then he’ll send him away. To be honest, this was all within my expectations. Still, it didn’t matter what the test was because the male lead would pass no matter what! I think it’ll all work out! I said decisively and smiled, taking another bite.

Miltiades made a face, but didn’t touch his food. He seemed upset about something. Eventually he opened his mouth and said, Berrict will be heading north to hunt the beasts.

Oh, I see.

Miltiades’ expression grew strange at my reaction. Callian looked at the two of us and quickly explained, When we go on beast hunts, we clean up the overpopulated areas. Master Berrict is in charge of the northern and eastern areas, and he will probably be gone for a while.

Okay.

That means he won’t be able to see you for a while.

Aha, I see! I clapped and nodded.

It didn’t seem to be the reaction that Miltiades was looking for. He turned to me with a troubled expression. If that brat becomes Berrict’s disciple, he’ll have to go with him, he spelled out.

Really? That makes sense. Oh, this meat is so good! Of course, I already knew all this. I calmly picked up the meat with my fork, while Miltiades continued to stare at me, as if trying to gauge my reaction. Hm? Is something wrong?

Miltiades seemed to search for the right words, before he said, Don’t you... like that brat?

Huh? Who? I asked blankly.

Much to my confusion, Miltiades looked troubled while Callian seemed to be trying to reassure him. Who was the brat Miltiades was referring to? Could it be Kais? When I saw the
