About this ebook
When famous celebrities around the Detroit area start turning up dead with bite marks that resemble vamire bites, Detective Scott Murphy and his partner Detective Hadeem McDougan are given the case. They are rushing to keep up with the dead bodies to track the killer. The only similarity is the blood letting from the victims, making them think of a past case where a cult was draining bood for their ceremony. The only break in the case is a security video from a radio staion of the killers driving away in their car. The book is a novella, shorter than a novel but longer than a short story. It's the fourth bok in the series.
Bob Moats
Detroit area resident, Bob Moats, has been writing short stories and plays for as long as he can remember. He has lost most of his original stories, typed or handwritten, in the numerous moves he has made from his hometown of Fraser, Michigan to Northern Michigan, to Las Vegas and back to Fraser, where he now lives. Moats became one of the causalities of unemployment a year ago, and had time on his hands to finally pursue a life long dream of writing a full blown crime novel. Thus was born the first book, "Classmate Murders".What followed was a series of seven books starting with "The Classmate Murders" which introduces the main character, Jim Richards, who has to admit he has become a senior citizen, reluctantly. Richards, one day, receives an email from a childhood sweetheart asking for his help, but by the time he reaches her, she has been murdered. His life turns around and he is pulled into numerous murders of women from his high school who he hasn't seen in forty years. Along with a friend of his, Buck, a big, mustached biker, they go off to track down the killer before he can get to one former classmate, Penny Wickens, a TV talk show host who Jim has just fallen for while protecting her. The killer is also murdering the women right out from under police protection, driving homicide detective Will Trapper crazy, and he slowly depends on Jim to help. There's humor, suspense, wild chases across suburban Detroit with cops, classic cars and motorcycle clubs; murder, mayhem, a good amount of romance and a twist ending.Jim and his crime fighters, continue in the other books, traveling to Las Vegas twice, back to Detroit and out to New York to solve murders involving dominatrix; mistresses; Bridezillas; magic and strip clubs.Book titles: Classmate Murders; Vegas Showgirl Murders; Dominatrix Murders; Mistress Murders; Bridezilla Murders; Magic Murders; Strip Club Murders and Made-for-TV Murders.

Chapter 1
Detroit PD Detective Scott Murphy was seated at his desk trying to file his reports of the cases he worked in the last two weeks. He caught one killer who took out his wife and one man who kidnapped a 6 year old boy. He was pleased that he solved both cases and was given a little recognition from his captain. He typed his statements for the cases when the door opened to the squad room. He didn’t bother looking up but when someone sat at his desk, he looked to see who had invaded his space. It was Detective Hadeem McDougan.
Hadeem was known as Haddy and was a partner with Scott during the Leviticus Murders. Haddy was half Muslim, half Irish due to his parents marrying and leaving their son confused as to who he was.
To what do I owe this visit?
Scott asked the man.
I was in the area and wanted to let you know that I have been re-assigned to work here now. Your partner has retired and I was given the pleasure to be your partner again.
I have no problem with that since my last partner was useless. I’m glad he’s gone. We don’t have a case to work for now, so just relax until something comes up.
Scott said. I’m surprised that the Captain didn’t inform me of this change.
He probably just forgot.
Haddy said.
The Captain’s door opened and the big man came out and yelled, Murphy, get in here.
That didn’t last long did it,
Murphy said and stood going to the Captain’s office. He stood at the man’s desk as he was told, I see McDougan has filled you in on his re-assignment, so get used to it. Now I have a new case for you two. A woman was murdered at her husband’s mansion in Grosse Pointe. See what you two can find out about it.
The captain handed Murphy a paper with the address.
Yes, sir,
Scott said and left the office. At his desk he told Haddy, Got a hot one, murder. Shall we go do our thing?
Haddy stood and followed Scott out to the car in the police lot.
