- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Excellent tips for common home and kitchen items. It's nothing you can't find online but the benefit of this book is that it's all in one place.
(Provided by publisher) - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5How could anyone not love this book just by the title alone ? There are chapters with all these marvelous non toxic natural miracle goodies. Kitchen uses, health and beauty uses, science, crafts, and much more. It's all here in one book, no time water search the internet for recipes for successful formulas that don't leave you with a chemical bomb in you home.
I plan on buying a copy for my elderly mother who has become sensitive to chemicals after years of having her hands in them.
A must have cleaning guide book if nothing else, but you'll love what else you find. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5wow, there are tons of great tips in here. Who knew you could do all that with salt, vinegar, baking soda, olive oil, lemons or a combination thereof?
I guess Laura Westdale did...and I'm very happy she did. I did a ton of highlighting, and any of the tips I've tried worked like a charm.
I'll be stocking up on those 5 ingredients next time I go shopping. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5People of a certain age grew up with "Hints from Heloise" in the newspaper and in her 16 books. More recently, Linda Cobb has assumed the title: Queen of Clean and published her own clutch of books. The web is full of green ideas on how to deal with all kinds of common household tasks. There is nothing new to be said about household uses of salt, vinegar, baking soda, olive oil and lemons and I do not think this book is needed. In addition, the layout makes the book difficult to use on an e-reader.I received a review copy of 501 Amazing Uses for Salt, Vinegar, Baking Soda, Olive Oil and Lemons by Laura M. Westdale (Baker & Taylor Publishing Group) through Netgalley.com.
