This is a simple book. Children need to understand there are coins. These coins can make different amounts of money. This book reminds children that they can make various amounts of money in a variety of ways. You may use this simple book to ask your child how else can they make a specific amount of money. The coins are just representations so that the children can focus on adding the amounts and make sure you constantly remind children that they are only 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p 20p and 50p coins. If your child is ready you may also remind your child that there are £1 coins and £2 coins. This book was to help children understand when they are asked to make specific amounts of money to only use the value of actual coins. Children often forget that even though you may be asked for an amount such as 37p there are no such coins as 37p t and the child needs to use other coins in a combination to make the amount.
